This year I have added a presentation to my conference lineup that is a discussion about the power of YouTube in the classroom both as a learning tool and an opportunity for student creativity.  Sometimes it will be lead by myself or perhaps with my good friend Sue Gorman. This community provides an opportunity for attendees, or really anyone for that matter, an opportunity to share ways that YouTube can provide educational value to the classroom environment! Please feel free to share, join and post within!

Because sometimes biomes don't have to live inside a box!  Give students choice and amazing things can happen!

This is super cool!  We have been doing some Minecraft in my Grade 3/4 class.  Love his description.

Providing instructions and Professional Development does not have to be boring.  Try using and avatar to get your point across!

It's amazing what happens when students own their learning, tap their creativity and teach others!

One students take on what really happens when teacher's have an Institute Day! This was a video shown at a kickoff assembly by a very talented young artist Pete Scalzitti who continues to share his brilliance with the world today!  Give students freedom to find their passion and amazing things happen!

Large projects can be time consuming and difficult to document process unless you use timelapse, stop or even slo-motion!

Students don't have to show their face to share their enthusiasm for learning. How do you share your pulley problems?

I absolutely love this idea Thanks +Chris Betcher for sharing it!

We don't block all that much on our network at school, but when you walk into the IT area you get to see a running log file of proxy activity. Once students are aware of the visible nature of their internet use, it's easier to have conversations about what might constitute responsible use.
