My family and I took our two year old and his cousin (3yrs) down and at first I thought he would be too young. In regards that he would find it more fun running around with his cousin than actually looking at the animals. Although he did absolutely love running around he did actually seem to show interest in most of the animals on display. It is a tight fit on a busy day like school holidays when we went, especially chasing toddlers around but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My boy loved it and that made it all worthwhile. Looking forward to taking him back when he is older. The only improvement is that the place does look a bit dated but it has been there a long time.

Well... I was expecting more for an aquarium in a city like Sydney. I only found one sort of jellyfish, I wanted to see more of that. There is not so much information regarding the species (you're not gonna learn anything new). Obviously, this aquarium was made for kids: fish drawing, games,... Not to mention all the noisy and yelling children. For me an aquarium should be quiet, interesting and relaxing, not a playground. Also, people go there only to look through their mobile phone's camera, they don't really care about sea-life information (it is disturbing for others). Therefore, if you have a kid or if you just want to take pictures this aquarium is made for you! To end on a positive note anyway- I appreciated the highlight on environmental issue like plastic bags, it made the journey a bit more interesting.

1) We went midweek and were trampled by a large group of high school students, yelling to one another and making rude remarks about the marine life. Their voices bellowed down the underwater tunnels and carried through the entire aquarium. Through their non-action, I assumed staff thought the behavior was acceptable. In my opinion, Sealife Sydney need to be more prudent in protecting marine life in their care. They have the makings of a beautiful aquarium, but need to reduce crowding inside and out and ensure noise levels aren't unsettling the residents. 2) Not as important but a tad annoying, was the confusing online ticketing system. We purchased an adult + child ticket for $10 cheaper than what we paid for a single adult ticket the following day. Merlin Entertainment need to consolidate their promotions. Their staff are not being educated on current promotions and on how to handle ticketing issues as they arise. 3) Overall, Sydney Aquarium is home to some beautiful marine life, impressive interactive exhibitions & offers excellent educational value. I'm sure Merlin/ Sea Life are continually looking to improve their centre. Some of the displays were very well thought out, particularly in the theatre room where tranquil music was played for the fish in an exhibition tank.

Great exhibits, excellent signage, fascinating information - the walking various tunnels through the tanks are spectacular too. The only thing that lets down the Aquarium is an absurdly slow and overly-complex queueing process that even buying your ticket in advance can't completely avoid. Allow at least 30 mins to queue. Consider visiting after 5pm when the crowds get smaller and you will have an easy uncrowded 2 hours to explore.

Its a great place to see sea life. The aquarium is a great visit for people from landlocked country and cannot enjoy sea life often. You learn a lot and is amazed by how it is managed. However, got a bit disappointed when i went for the second time.

We were pleasantly surprised at the sheer size of the aquarium. Every turn off the hallway, we kept expecting the last exhibit to be the final one, but it just kept going! The staff were pleasant and helpful, the building itself kept clean and neat. One of the few times I didn't feel ripped off at a tourist attraction.

If you have already seen an aquarium, it won't be a surprise for you. I have seen underwater aquarium in Kuala Lumpur. I expected much better from Sydney. It's just bigger than Kuala Lumpur. That's it. I think Sydney Sea Life Aquarium has not more species than Kuala Lumpur. But it's good for any first time visitor. And kids will definitely love it. You will need 5-6 hours to visit this aquarium. And overall it's expensive if you can't find any deal. Regular ticket price is A$40.
