Adjust the height of the seat so that with the ball of your foot on the pedal at its lowest point you still have a 5 degree bend in your knee. You’ll be working the right muscles and be able to ride a lot farther without getting tired!

You can use a BionX system to ride all through the winter! But if you are planning to store your bike during the winter months, make sure you keep your battery indoors and keep it charged. That way it will be ready to go for your first ride / commute of Spring.

Now that Fall is here, it's getting darker earlier. So make sure you are properly illuminated when you take your bike out for evening or night rides. Always wear bright colored clothing (preferably with reflective strips), and good-quality lights front and rear can make a huge difference.
Be smart and be safe!

Tech Tip Of The Week: True your wheels on a brand new bike (including BionX motor/wheel) after the first 100 km (60 mi.). They should also be trued at least once a year after that to keep your bike rolling smooth!

Some BionX systems come equipped with a throttle, designed to help you out when you need it (like going up an extra-steep hill). However, you shouldn't use the throttle to "scooter" you around all the time. The BionX e-bike system is designed to work with you as you pedal, and excessive throttle use can put a prolonged draw on your battery and reduce its overall lifespan. Be smart with your throttle use, and you'll get the most out of your battery!
