If you are interested in immunization rates in California childcare centers, I cleaned up the data released by State of California (and editorialized a bit): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18RnWkwnORpi8ko4t_fMcv_QTEP1dfmD2qBbCUBdLwxE/edit?usp=sharing

In Vietnam no less.  Better ask the museum for funding.  I still have PFA caterpillars to dissect...

I think tented vias are also worth mentioning.  Some fabs do it and some don't.  I believe OSH Park can do it on some vias and not others depending on design rules.

Will affect whether you can have readable silkscreen over the via.  Also protects from unintentional contact.  Conversely, if you want to use the via as a test point then you don't want tenting there.

Pro tip: if you are trying to find a replacement for a TRIAC that is labeled MAC97A6 BJ101, do not Google for BJ101.

Hi all, quick question.  I have an Arduino project for interfacing my phone with the IEBus in my Toyota.  It relies on the analog comparator, and I was hoping to fix the code to use the interrupt off the comparator.  Now I'm thinking it would be easier to get wireless communication into the project using RasPi, but my understanding is there isn't an analog comparator let alone interrupts for that?

I see from wiringPi that it is not too difficult to set interrupts on rising/falling edge of GPIOs, so I guess I can just throw a comparator chip onto the front end.  I need a 12V->5V regulator to run RPi off my car anyway...

Just putting a shout out for powerline networking; I always thought it didn't work but it seems to have gotten much better in the last few years.  Had a bad WiFi situation in our new apartment and was feeling unhappy about the prospect of repeaters.  Homeplug AV 500 resolved the situation cleanly for $50.

I used powerline ethernet in my detached garage for nearly a year in my new house.  It was a little flaky running across the 60 year old wiring but it worked better than wifi.  Running cable is the way to go if you have the option but if not powerline ethernet is a good (if not great) alternative.

Hi all, I'm having a problem with a unit file I wrote.  It works fine with systemctl start, but when I use systemctl enable the service runs on boot but dies.  When I check the status it appears that when the service runs on boot it doesn't get the variables from the EnvironmentFile substituted correctly.  I have another service with a very similar setup that doesn't have this issue, so I'm a little at a loss.

Details here; the ALARM forum didn't seem to have much familiarity with this issue so I'm hoping someone here recognizes it.  http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=5283

(I'm fine with giving up on the EnvironmentFile and just instructing users to edit the unit file for config if that's recommended, but feel like this issue is worth troubleshooting.)
