We are one of the best downtown Dallas Mexican restaurants! We are located in the heart of Downtown Dallas. Our breathtaking 14,000 square foot restaurant stands 3 stories over the famous Pegasus Plaza. With a Rooftop Patio that boasts a fantastic view of downtown our Dallas Restaurant is an oasis amid the hustle of the big city. As you enter the first floor the smell of homemade tortillas give the restaurant a truly traditional Mexican feel. You’ve worked all day in the grind of the big city. It is evening time and you’re looking for a place to kick back and relax with your friends and family. Oftentimes you find yourself in the dilemma of deciding not only what type of food you want to eat, but where you want to go. There are literally hundreds of Mexican restaurants in Dallas, so how do you choose? Think about what Mexicans call your “antojo”. It’s that voice inside that says, “I’m hungry for” or “I’d like to experience something different”. We’ll help you decide. Make today’s “antojo” Iron Cactus, your place for a different experience than any other downtown Dallas Mexican restaurant.

Our server was extremely attentive, the food was great, and the drinks were amazing (get the elderflower tequila drink!). Unlimited chips and salsa was a plus, and happy hour didn't end until 6 so I was able to get two cocktails for $6 each, and others at our table got discounted appetizers through happy hour. Not too expensive and a decent ambience 👍

My husband and I went for brunch and it was pretty good, it wasn't crowded and the waiters came and checked on us plenty of times, I got refills without having to ask and they cleaned the table as we ate. They were very nice and helpful. The food setting was nice and you have a variety and reasonable in price but I don't think I would go back for the Mexican food just not my type of Mexican food that they serve looking at there menu. Fyi, fix the elevator bc if you sit upstairs than you have to walk up and down the stairs to get food for the brunch service, which isn't cool ain't nobody got time to be walking up and down the stairs to get a plate of food....

Party of six for lunch. Both types of salsa were good. Table side guac was fresh and tasty. All food was delicious, as were the desserts. And the margaritas (specially made with Casamigos) were the bomb! Service was excellent as well. No complaints. Would definitely go back.

The food was pretty mediocre, especially for the price. The service was great, our waitress was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was a little weird, more tex than mex. Overall, I probably wouldn't spend my money here again. For the price, I think I would rather try other places.

Avoid! Worst service. We were here for 3 hours... Took 45 minutes to get water, the manager was rude when we asked about our waitress and getting an extra chair. Way understaffed. Food was good, but not good enough to be mad for 3 hours. Orders were wrong. They finally brought our guacamole after an hour, only for it to sit for 10 minutes while the waitress had to pass out other food. We went to the drink station and poured our own waters. The music was too loud and we were yelling at each other and our waitress told us to speak up still. The best part was the nice man that brought us chips and salsa. He was quick and we tipped him instead of our waitress. I hope he doesn't get dragged down with this terrible establishment.

As many others have mentioned, the service is lacking. We sat on the 2nd floor, which despite being at maybe half capacity, had ridiculously slow service. Even after mentioning to the manager that we hadn't seen our waiter in the first 20 min of being seated, service continued to be slow. When dinner finally arrived, the fajitas looked suspiciously undercooked. Subpar service, Subpar food.

I've only had drinks here and it's always been an awesome experience. Really cool view if you go upstairs.
