We are one of the best downtown Dallas Mexican restaurants! We are located in the heart of Downtown Dallas. Our breathtaking 14,000 square foot restaurant stands 3 stories over the famous Pegasus Plaza. With a Rooftop Patio that boasts a fantastic view of downtown our Dallas Restaurant is an oasis amid the hustle of the big city. As you enter the first floor the smell of homemade tortillas give the restaurant a truly traditional Mexican feel. You’ve worked all day in the grind of the big city. It is evening time and you’re looking for a place to kick back and relax with your friends and family. Oftentimes you find yourself in the dilemma of deciding not only what type of food you want to eat, but where you want to go. There are literally hundreds of Mexican restaurants in Dallas, so how do you choose? Think about what Mexicans call your “antojo”. It’s that voice inside that says, “I’m hungry for” or “I’d like to experience something different”. We’ll help you decide. Make today’s “antojo” Iron Cactus, your place for a different experience than any other downtown Dallas Mexican restaurant.

The manager was abrupt and rude. The HOST( not server) was unattentive. She didnt even greet us or try to get us a table. This place charges $50 plus $1.20 per cut for cake. (Whixh was not mention durring the 60 days I reached out to the events coordinator. Food was urgh!! The house margarita was urgh!! I know now it will be On the Border or Blue Mesa for me. Iron cactus never again!! Maybe my expectations were to high.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. We've been coming here for years and love (so far) every thing I have tried. The best American/Tex-Mex fusion around. On our most recent visit, our waiter, Martin, was awesome, he was polite, well mannered and attentive. Great customer service coupled with an amazing atmosphere, and this makes The Iron Cactus one of my favorite places to eat in Dallas. Plus the prices are more than reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. An additional quality, is that right next to the restaurant is this awesome little water park with beautiful engraved large stones. My only complaint, is that last year, they took off the Pollo Relleno from the menu. They need to add it back!

Avoid! Worst service. We were here for 3 hours... Took 45 minutes to get water, the manager was rude when we asked about our waitress and getting an extra chair. Way understaffed. Food was good, but not good enough to be mad for 3 hours. Orders were wrong. They finally brought our guacamole after an hour, only for it to sit for 10 minutes while the waitress had to pass out other food. We went to the drink station and poured our own waters. The music was too loud and we were yelling at each other and our waitress told us to speak up still. The best part was the nice man that brought us chips and salsa. He was quick and we tipped him instead of our waitress. I hope he doesn't get dragged down with this terrible establishment.

Horrible manager!!! Everything started at the upstairs bar. Me and my party sat down. And the Hispanic bartender guy, didnt get his name. Tells us in a cocky/attitude way, yall are gonna have 2 wait a while cause I'm the only one working. We said that's fine, cause we were waiting for balcony tables to become available, outside. We look over the drink menu, and ask about the drink specials. He tells us it's the house ritas only with a attitude. We order ritas, and he messed that up. Some of requested salted rims, and 1 person in my party didn't get salt. There was a band playing behind us on stage. So we had 2 shout across the bar to get the bar guys attention. That he messed up the drinks. The manager Chelsea. Didn't apologize for anything with her bartender. Instead she told my party that she didn't like his attitude. What kind of manager says that to customers who are unhappy with the service there?? She needs Training on the customer is allways right. We left immediately!! I told her I will be contacting corporate on her. Really wish I would of reccord her actions 0n my phone, but I didn't think of it, till later. Don't waste your time here!!! My first and last time at that place.

Honest review: we went to dinner last night for my cousins birthday. We looked it up because we are all younge adults and obviously would like to split the check there was 11 of us in total. When we went online it clearly said they would not split checks IF the party was 20 people and over. When we arrived the hostes advices us that the checks would not be separated if we chose to sit together. We were confused but finally another lady came out and just pushed the tables together which was a circle table and a square one. It was very uncomfortable but we assumed because of the horrible seating our checks would be split (we did not complain) when the checks came, we were unable to split the checks so my friends sat and made calculations as to what everyone's plate was worth basically splitting the check outselves. We would have all equally split the check but the plates differed from 12-50 dollars. We did not want anyone to have to pay for something they didn't get. It took them a while of course and during that time the lady that was training our waiter would answer questions in a very rude manner as well as eyeing us through our process of dividing the check. We all felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable and I truly got upset because it was my cousins birthday and I don't feel like she should have felt that way on her special day. However, our original waiter was very patient and nice but her attitude Just overshadowed him. Food: My plate was not necessarily my favorite but everyone else seemed to enjoy the food. (Good example of how bad service can kill the whole experience)

Our server was extremely attentive, the food was great, and the drinks were amazing (get the elderflower tequila drink!). Unlimited chips and salsa was a plus, and happy hour didn't end until 6 so I was able to get two cocktails for $6 each, and others at our table got discounted appetizers through happy hour. Not too expensive and a decent ambience 👍
