I've been a regular patron of this establishment since 1995, and their food quality has been consistently above par. The service is prompt and courteous, the food arrives to the table quickly and it is reasonably priced. To give a balanced review, there was a time when their lunch was not so good because they felt compelled to compete with another restaurant in the area and operate a buffet. Toward the end of the lunch period the food was a bit dried out. During this time I just ordered from the menu to avoid those problems. Once they dropped the buffet and returned to what they did best, lunchtime quality went back up to the excellent quality I was used to. In my opinion it is the best Chinese food in Anchorage. Their egg drop soup is the best!

I had an unrelenting craving for Chinese food tonight so after polling my friends on FB I asked my DH to pick up from this restaurant. He was skeptical because AK isn't exactly known for good Chinese but his whole experience ended up being excellent and the service pleasant. We both loved the Hot Bean Curd ... absolutely delicious and very authentic compared to what he is accustomed to! Next time we will have to order double. We also ordered the Mongolian Beef which was heavenly for me, and the shrimp fried rice which was the tastiest version I've had in Anchorage. The shrimp were the perfect medium size, not the popcorn shrimp found in many versions. Also the egg rolls were of perfect crispness. DH and I read on the back of the menu that NC offers a dinner special in which you have the chef prepare his own choice of food for you and it is said to be completely authentic. We can't wait to plan a night away from the kiddos to try this. I absolutely recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

A table shattered in pieces on 6/9/10 while my nephew was there. Did not break the glass cup that dropped on it. Tables extremely dangerous. They do not have safety glass. My nephew could have gotten glass in his eyes...

It was very good. The place is clean and the food was delicious. My mom had crispy duck. Mmmm. Dad ate mongolian beef that was simply to die for. Yummy is all I can say when I talk about the bean curd. Yummy to my tummy. Go there and let your taste buds be amazed!

Saw the Dec 2010 review and thought...why not?? Well I will tell you why not. I did a take out order. I got BBQ Ribs for an appetizer and I got about 10 pork shaving niblets that were dry with some sesame seeds sprinkle over it in a small box...I could not believe that served that looking the way it did. I also ordered sesame chicken which was more edible looking than the ribs, but did not taste very good. The egg foo young was next; you get about a 4inch round circle (in diameter not thickness) with a sauce so salty I could puke. The crab rangoon was ok but I have had much better and the fried rice was edible and pretty much all I ate for dinner. For the price you pay I would have expected much better food. On the plus side, the staff is friendly.
