I am a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America and named one of Florida's Legal Elite for 2012 and 2013.
I am licensed in all Florida State Courts, as well as all Federal, and Bankruptcy Courts in Florida up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court.
I represent businesses in lawsuits, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative/government agency hearings and also counseling business people on how to avoid legal problems. Business litigation includes contract disputes, UCC consumer claims, real estate litigation, special assets litigation, and business torts, such as theft of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duties, and usurpation of corporate opportunities. I also enforce and appeal judgments I obtain for clients and provide counsel in business transactions, such as forming entities and the sale of assets.
I am a member of the Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar, and the Inns of Court in both Palm Beach and Martin Counties. I was appointed by the President of the Florida Bar to the Business Litigation Certification Committee and serve on the Palm Beach County Bar Professionalism Committee and Chair the Palm Beach County Bar Business Litigation CLE Committee.
I was formerly a Captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corps where I defended soldiers in courts-martial and administrative hearings. In that capacity I was admitted to the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
I earned my law degree from the University of Miami and my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I speak Japanese and some Korean. I am an Eagle Scout, enjoy golf, scuba diving, and underwater photography.
