McWhirter Morris and their work on a house in Hampshire feature in this months House & Garden.

The brief was to create an old fashioned English house, liveable and comfortable, but also simple and functional.

Sarah Morris tells us that "although the rooms were of a good size, and shape, there was not much personality in the house itself".

"As comfort was a a priority, I suggested wallpaper, which I think adds warmth, colour, pattern and individuality."
