If you're a WordPress user, you NEED to secure your WordPress blog, which includes keeping it up-to-date and applying any security patches immediately. A minor version of most scripts (including WordPress) should take no longer than 5 minutes, and typically the ONLY reason for the release of a minor version is due to a security issue.

Hackers target WordPress because of it's overwhelming popularity. Unfortunately that means it's users have a constant target on their back. There are several good security plugins available to WordPress users that can help you secure your blog.

As a hosting company Hello World Web has always sent notifications when a user was running a script that had an upgrade available (when the install was done through Softaculous or Installatron, so we know about it).
