I'm deprecating this account, because it's linked to my gmail address (which I rarely use) rather than my primary email address.

If you want to follow me at my other G+ account, you can find it at the link below. Not sure how much I'll be using it, but more than this one.

My latest post for +TUAW "Making money in a crowded App Store: it's dog eat dog and Spy vs Spy" http://www.tuaw.com/2012/09/04/making-money-in-a-crowded-app-store-its-dog-eat-dog-and-spy-vs/

So... does anyone following me still use G+? Please comment or +1 this if you see it. Trying to gauge activity. Cheers!

If Starbucks stopped serving over-roasted coffee and over-priced sandwiches so it could concentrate on the delicious fruit toast, I'd be fine with that.

This is some sort of spammer, right? (The "11"s and list of completely unrelated links go on for another two screenfuls below the fold, including links to random people's blogs like +Faruk Ateş.) Is this why I have so many followers on G+? Because of spam? Are you a human, +Sky Lamer?

I, for one, am glad that Shawn King is happy to counter the stereotype that all Apple nerds are fussy style-over-substance types by releasing an eye-searingly ugly website.

Electronic Arts: "Our fastest growing platform is the iPad right now and that didn't exist 18 months ago."

This is meaningless. It's trivial for a brand-new platform to grow quickly because it starts at nothing. The entire "mobile" segment only made up 6% of EA's reported revenue and is actually down from 7% year-on-year. I bet that won't stop the Apple blogs reporting it with a solid dose of "iPad is grate, Xbox is doomed" hyperbole though.

My latest post for TUAW! I wrote a script to capture and analyse two months of malware definitions for OS X. The bottom line is: the much-hyped malware apocalypse shows no signs of happening yet.

I don't care for OS X Lion's so-called "natural" scrolling, so being a blogger, I wrote an impotent self-important rant about it.
