MOM s is the best as far as customer service and really unique options, and yes they may be pricey, but you are paying for better quality foods. I love going there and getting free coffee . Their produce always looks amazing. There staff is very educated and have a real passion for what they do. So glad MOM s came to Bowie.

MOM's prices are great, their produce selection could look a little healthier, and they lack some staples that I expect from every health food store. Some members of the staff are wonderful, some are unprofessional and rude and shouldn't be working around customers; I have been a regular shopper of MOM's for years, and this unprofessionalism has been a problem for years, so, it's a systemic issue. and it's kinda bad at times because of it. They've lost business for months from me several times due to that, I'm sure they will again. There is a blonde curly-haired male employee that is absolutely unprofessional and lacks control (gets mouthy) when he doesn't want to relay a complaint to the manager, the cashiers at MOM's seem to think that it's good customer service to tell you to email someone and that's it, they don't give you a card, ;their customer service is all the way in the back, away from the registers, they just tell you verbally that you should email someone named Scott at MOM's, that's how the cashiers handle suggestions about customers not having direction at the check-out and a customer asking them to suggest it to the manager, they say, "It's really not anything we deal with, you'll have to email scott[something]," and then the bagger for the other register tells you that's how they do it, you are to email some manager named scott[something]... there is a cluster-mess that occurs at the registers now that MOM's has remodeled and piggy-backed their registers, like customers don't know if they should stand in one line at each piggybacked register (cluster-mess) or make one line that the next customer goes to the next open register, that's what I asked the cashier and the cashier AND bagger responded by telling me it wasn't their responsibility, and the bagger, the blonde curly-haired male, yelled antagonistially out the door as I left for me to have a nice day, right in front of the manager, Jen.. The bad employees are enabled to be unprofessional at MOM's, but there are good ones that make-up for it, for now, I'm sure that I'll stop shopping there for a while again, because they are that kind of store, because of their occasional bad-seed employees that they allow to conduct themselves in such an unprofessional manner, they actually enable and cultivate that behavior. Two things for a better store, better staple selection, like they were out of baked tofu for a while, and the new brand, Soyboy, has a sour taste to it, Soyboy just has that kind-of taste... they don't carry bulk organic powdered kelp, they offered to buy me a pound (lol). MOM's doesn't carry some homeopathic remedies and cell salts that I expect every health food store should, and find myself frequenting other health food stores in the area to find them. MOM's selction of soy milk is limited, and they sell Edensoy, which should be boycotted because Edensoy has that right-wing agenda to deny reproductive coverage to it's female employees, like Hobby Lobby... I do like MOM's ideology, I hope they get their act together so I can keep shopping there, but right now, it's on a thin line from that blonde curly-haired male employee, they might lose a couple of thousand dollars from me because of him... See how important it is for your employees to treat your customers right? You can lose thousands of dollars because of the behavior of one employee, and if you don't do anything about it, you enable and cultivate it to happen consistently, and lose business accordingly... I guess MOM's needs some retail 101 refresher course. I expect better from MOM's; when they don't have unpleasant employees working, they are wonderful, despite their lack of staple items...

I shop here often since I work right up the street. The food selection is fantastic (good food that is also good for you), and they always have samples out so you can try new products that you normally wouldn't think to buy for yourself. The staff is helpful and pleasant, and I'm always greeted with a smile when I come in. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area, even if you've never thought to shop at an organic market before. Prices are on par with grocery stores, except you don't have to worry about the chemicals on produce (all produce is 100% organic) or in their products. They also get bread delivered fresh every day from Spring Hill Bakery. All of the bread is great, but do yourself a favor and pick up a loaf of the Apple Strussel bread to share at your next party, you will be hailed as a god (or goddess) because this bread is definitely a spiritual experience.

I find the condition of this Mom's Market to be a little of an eyesore, but the staff and selection of natural foods has always kept me coming back! I'd also like to recommended that you try their Japanese sweet potatoes :-)
