As much as I would want to see an Adrian Peterson touchdown live through Glass, I don't think
Glass would hold up to concussive impact, much better would be a LeBron James dunk face on Dwight Howard....

Is GoPro in trouble because of Google Glass?

I didn't wear my Glass on the River Raft trip yesterday. Too scared I would go overboard and lose mine. +Abraham Williams wasn't as attached and filmed this on his. Does GoPro have to worry? On the bus yesterday a group of us talked and decided that, yes, GoPro does have to worry. A friend of my brother's, Chris Greene, is the director of user experience at GoPro and Chris, you should have heard what people were saying on the bus: the user experience of using a GoPro sucks compared to Glass. If Google can waterproof Glass, and put them on frames that are better for sticking to your face during high-impact experiences, most of the GoPro users would choose to use that instead.

Abraham also had put a little cord on his Google Glass to make sure he wouldn't lose it in high-impact experiences, like this. His Glass survived, although he said when water hit it the touch sensor would freak out a bit.

Finally, Abraham says he'll be at the Google Glass Hackathon (I'm a judge): https://www.facebook.com/events/166143383572472/ on August 24th.

At Techcrunch Disrupt Rackspace Hosting is holding a Google Glass developer contest and giving away $10,000 too. More details on that this week after we settle on a name for it.

Oh, and stay tuned, I have some photos taken with a new Nokia phone with a 41 megapixel sensor. I'm testing that out over the next week to see whether it's worth giving up a smaller phone just to get a much better camera.

UPDATE:  I'm pretty sure I was on the boat in front of Abraham's boat. Great day, thank you +Francisco Dao  for putting it together. When people wonder why I did that instead of going to a music festival or going to my 30th high school reunion, I will look back and remember that I got to meet several great developers and entrepreneurs (the CEO of +Shelby.tv was one I spent a lot of time with). I learned a ton about the startup world that I never would have learned while on camera. That will come out in interviews over the next year. For instance, I learned just how competitive the TV space is and how @Shelby.tv is rocking it with the best experience for finding new video. That will make me look at that space anew.

Anyway, this is a more fun way to show that Google Glass can survive quite a bit of contact with water.

Always Do What you Love

My dad was a comic book illustrator in the 30's and 40's.

Even in the military he was the photographer and then worked for the base newspaper drawing comics. He later became a local artist (gallery shows) and then taught art as a college professor (art history, drawing and painting). He always did what he loved and taught me to do the same.

Walked in a little before 10am, with no other patients visibly waiting and was greeting promptly and friendly. Paperwork was quick and simple and saw the nurse, radiologist for x-rays and the Dr within 10 minutes of arrival and was completely out the door in 20 minutes.

Have been going here at least 2-3 time per month for about a year now. Service has always been good, I can only remember one occasion where I had to go find a waiter and this was after I had been sitting on the patio after the meal talking for quite some time and wasn't needing anything other than the check, so not really his fault. Food has been above average to great on each occasion. Fajita's are awesome, the queso blanco (white queso) is the best I have found in this area, the rice is seasoned well and not to dry like I have found at other tex-mex style places. This is by far my favorite Mexican or Tex-Mex locale, and will be a place I continue to spend my money... If you are familiar with other locations near here like Cristina's, Gloria's or Angelina's, then you should enjoy this place, and In my opinion it is a notch or 2 above those places in food quality and atmosphere.
