Outstanding article but there is this view of present global trade as some unstoppable, natural force with its own sacred laws.  Much like the "invisible hand" of the market, it must exploit labor and environment for the good of all (yes, it's just that crazy).  Baloney of course, its just a set of policies/rules put forth by powerful men, mostly bankers, lawyers and capitalists.  There is no reason that rules to force a living wage or respect the environment cannot be included in trade deals.  It might even lead to more domestic markets and real prosperity gains for developing/mercantilist nations.

For those interested in the ProCase which does not include keyboard, I got mine today. The product appears to be quality with a snug fit and access to all buttons, speakers, plugs, cameras, lightstrip, etc. The Pixel C awakes on opening. I have a Logitech K380 Bluetooth keyboard which paired easily with the Pixel C. The case price is $16.
