Struggling cities in Japan turn to donation for write-off gifts to boost income and it's working.  Interesting idea... plus especially when they include local biz in the mix.

City dwellers are contributing tax-deductible donations to far-flung, struggling municipalities, which in return send out local specialties.

Abandoned Malls need not be dead and empty..  Why not re-purpose them aka dual use. Support and small businesses on the first floor, many have nice open spaces for community and gathering while creating lofts and living spaces above?  #upcycle http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/completely-surreal-pictures-of-americas-abandoned-malls
An inside look at nine abandoned malls. There is nothing creepier and more fascinating.

Interesting article micro-communities - more focused on homeless solution as well as "affordable housing" in high rent/purchase areas.
I find the prospect of micro-communities and tiny house movement interesting.
Why - Contract your eco- footprint, less is more , simplifying to gridlesss living , affordable housing to land challenges in dense urban areas. Like traditional dwellings the options are endless and possibly portable if you go that route.   #tinyhouse  #micro-communities
In the Pacific Northwest, people with nowhere else to go are forming micro-communities with communal kitchens and toilets but teeny, individual sleeping units. Could tiny homes, once the provenance...

Seeing a lot more FB for FB Groups Sponsored ad's... "New friends.. depicting a seniors tai chi class...  Makes me go HUMMMM
a.    Responses have nothing to do with groups, most are  about tai chi vs. joining FB Groups or setting them up.

b. Where most now realize that they see less of their "actual friends" and liked pages.. and some now participate in topic related groups more so than in stream...

Could it be gearing up to advertising in focus groups perhaps?

How to handle negative customer feedback on brand vs. product brilliantly.

Reading about how +Locally Laid  addressed negative customer feedback regarding product name at the same time communicating the idea behind the name, core values as earth citizens and product quality.

See their open letter to "offended man".

A little bit of naughty bird attention getting leaving you rosy cheeked but smiling and feeling good about the brand plus farming more than eggs but good will :) #branding   #customerexperience   #storytellingforbusiness

When opportunity, interest and passion collide... can sometimes turn your focus from a "job" into the "do what you love" instead.   #funStory  http://www.earthporm.com/self-taught-street-photographer-surprises-china-perfectly-timed-photos/
