Very small and gets super packed quick but it's a nice eclectic place that is worth trying out. Nice to have some Japanese beers and other drinks. Decor and music is unique, a nice experience

Japanese tapas! Soo cool! Was very authentic and delicious!!! Loved the kimchi ramen, chicken karaage and the fried squid legs. If you like soju and sake they have an impressive selection. It's in a small, dark bar--pretty intimate with Japanese 50's kitsch pinups and such plastered throughout. Not good for big parties.

Having read a book on Izakaya cusine and culture, I was pleased to find Yuki near Snug Harbor on Frenchmen St. I strained my memory to recal what I had read but no worries-the staff made great recommendations on food and drink. If you are versed in Japanese food, no doubt you will find some traditional dishes done well. For the fan who wants more authentic bar food and a huge selction of sake and shouchu this is it.

I would strongly recommend this place to anyone interested in trying something else! The deep fried potato thing was absolutely delicious. I also had the octopus dumplings which were outstanding. The atmosphere was perfect! We had to two local musicians keeping us entertained and the whole place just has an intimate feeling about it. I would definitely come here again! Oh and the old school animae was pretty awesome too!
