What with the current madness that's going on, it was nice to get away and find some peace and solitude.

The new SIGMA Mount Converter MC-11 is now available in the UK. Photographer John G. Moore is one of the first to receive this exciting new product and will be sharing his discoveries as he explores all it has to offer. #SIGMAUK   #Sigmamc11   #SigmaGlobalVision
The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond
Here's a shot of the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond taken for my rolling Sigma MC-11 SA-E review.

We've now tested the MC-11 SA-E on the A7R II with every Sigma Full Frame SA Mount lens listed on the compatibility chart and they all work perfectly. They behave just as a native Sony lens does. The manual states that it is not compatible with AF-C mode but we tried it and the great news is that it works. Eye AF also works.

Kudos to Sigma. This is the best Sony E Mount AF adapter we've used to date. :-)

The new SIGMA MC-11 Mount Adapter was a popular item on display in the Sigma Imaging UK stand during the Photography Show. Read what John G. Moore has to say about it and why he thinks it is amazing!
The Amazing SIGMA MC-11 E Mount Adapter
If you own Sigma SA Mount or EF Mount glass and want to use it on Sony E-Mount bodies then you will love this. ;-)

Why the SIGMA dp0 Quattro? The answer is the DETAILS!
Quattro Ragioni
I had the opportunity to shoot with a Sigma dp0 Quattro at some of my favourite locations last Sunday/Monday, and you know what - I really enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately the Eagles didn't turn up on this occasion,  but I'm still digging the shot. ;-) Why did I like the dp0 Quattro so much?

Reason 1: Detail, Reason 2: More detail, Reason 3: Even more detail, Reason 4: Loads of detail.

Catch my drift? :-)

The image quality from the Foveon sensor at 100 ISO is great, and it's so easy to use. On the right occasions I could do some serious damage with it. ;-)

"The Sigma 24-35mm f2.0 DG HSM Art is a unique zoom combining the largest aperture of a full-frame zoom available to-date with a rather short 1.5x range which none-the-less covers most focal-lengths that you would want for wide-angle coverage like 24mm, 28mm, and 35mm." Review by Cameralabs.com for ‪#‎wideangleWednesday

Sigma 24-35mm f2 Art review - a remarkable zoom!

The Sigma 24-35mm f2.0 DG HSM Art is a unique lens offering the popular wide-angle focal lengths with a constant and unusually bright aperture for a zoom. It becomes the second zoom in the ART series, following the 24-105mm and is available in Canon, Nikon, and Sigma mounts with the chance to swap the mount should you change systems in the future; it's also compatible with Sigma's USB dock for fine-tuning or firmware updates. It's fairly large, heavy and expensive, but essentially does the job of three fixed wide-angle primes, and as +Thomas Rubach discovered, the quality is a lot better than you might expect. Find out why this could be the ultimate wide-zoom in his Sigma 24-35mm f2 review!

Torridon
...is one of my favourite places in Scotland. Beautiful sea lochs and some of the countries most dramatic mountains make it a must visit location. I shot this with a Nikon D800 and Sigma 24mm Art lens. Have a nice Wednesday folks!
