According to Google Image Search, 12 out of every 13 people are men. Just FYI. I'm sure there some kind of interesting socio-pycho-something there.

On further research, it turns out that first image is of a person named Mr. Person. So, as usual, Google's first result is shockingly accurate.

I don't know much about sattelites but this one looks awesome. Aesthetically I mean. :P

We’re building a new satellite mission that will improve hurricane forecasting. Our CYGNSS mission is a constellation of eight micro satellites that will take measurements of ocean surface winds in and near the eye wall of storms. Instead of single satellite images provided every few days, CYGNSS will provide a new image every few hours. The mission is scheduled to launch in late 2016: http://go.nasa.gov/1fq848K #EarthRightNow

Fun times at Randol's. The band was Corey Arceneaux and the Zydeco Hot Peppers. They only play one speed of music -- just fast enough to qualify as your aerobic exercise for the day. :) Not too fast, but certainly not slow. Ever. No waltzes or even two-steps. Apparently a twentys-and-thirtys crowd who go to church on Sunday afternoons then head over to Randol's ... and man are they good at dancing. So good. Some great dancing last night.

Not that I'll remember it, but today's dictionary.com word of the day is an amazing one... and would be great for scrabble.

The natural shape of spaceships. Apollo vs NASA's current fleet under construction.

The Hershey's Kiss shape makes the spaceships inherently stable, and the broad flat bottom helps spread the blistering heat of re-entry.

By moving the centre of gravity we can alter how the ships fly, and thus roll and steer them to both reduce g-load and land precisely.

A planet with no star? The nightlife would never end! A new printable #exoplanet travel poster is available now: http://go.nasa.gov/1N84oE5

These special class of planets called rogue, or free-floating, planets wander alone in the galaxy. Not much is known about how these planets come to exist, but scientists theorize that they may be either failed stars or planets ejected from very young systems after an encounter with another planet. These rogue planets glow faintly from the heat of their formation. Once they cool down, they will be dancing in the dark. #NASABeyond

My wife and I have tried Twin Peaks three times. We like the fact that they serve their beer so cold it has flecks of ice. But their service has been terrible. On two occasions, I had to go back to the front desk to ask for a waitress after over 20 minutes. The waitresses were not attentive. The food was good. The first time we went, we were going to see the Cajuns game. There were technical difficulties with the TV. And they were never able to get the sound to work. On another occasion, they wouldn't put the sound on in our section because they were playing the LSU game throughout the restaurant. The last time I went, I saw a couple of guys I knew at another table. They said their waitress really knew how to flirt. So, if you are a couple of guys you just want to go for a look, you will probably have a good time. As long as you get a waitress. We're unlikely to go back.

As with most Chinese buffets, food was mediocre. Egg drop soup was kind of oily. But if you like typical Chinese buffets, this one will be fine.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast included a cornucopia of various foods including omelets made to order. The atrium was beautiful with natural light and a nice pond with Koi and ducks. Overall, well maintained if not modern. The floor outside the bathroom was slippery in bare feet. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

My daughter really enjoys SOLA gymnastics. The teachers seem patient, friendly and knowledgeable. Parents and staff seem to be focused on positive motivation. They have given me good feedback about my daughter's strengths and areas for improvement. Plus they give the kids stickers at the end of practice, which seems to be a big deal for my daughter. :)
