Another lovely ride, this trail is a real find and we have really taken advantage of the weather & the cycling provisions!

This is why I love to ride!

20 miles round Portland & Weymouth today, some lovely views and good cycle path provision too!

I think these garden ornaments would be too life like for my Podengo, he does love the chase of a small animal!

Hmm, I think my Scotties would take an interest in these - up till the point when they realize they don't move :-)

Beautiful again, I am pleased with myself so far. Enjoying 25 miles a day so far with 40 today take me closer to my charity ride goal.

I'm still new to all this but loving our rides along the coast.

+Richard Vernon I am riding the coast from Mojacar Playa to Villa Rico's with a loop up past Vera town. If you love a hill or two this area is a great place to train, if like me you like distance without too many hills you will love it here too! Roads are in good condition with some excellent cycle path provision in busier areas! 3 months sounds great, good luck and I hope you love it!

+Andrew Thompson the tcx has been a dream since I bought it, very comfy riding position for me which was important. Sits up well on the roads and was unstoppable in the recent snow and boggy weather in the UK winter. Obviously it isn't a pure roady so the gearing isn't made for too much climbing (neither am I) all in all I am really happy with my choice, a spare set of slicker tires for the summer and I can't see me parting with it any time soon!

OK newbie question which is probably obvious but here goes!

I have a Giant tcx with 700 x 35c tires, can I buy 700c x 23 road wheels and tires and use as normal. Road tires are mainly for my rollers and possibly for easier charity rides this year.

Also is it OK to just add a like for like cassette to the 23s and keep gearing the same?

Thanks

Took this in my first 75k ride on Saturday, raising funds for Pilgrims Hospices.

Think I have the bug now and am going to enter the tour de Sandwich in June! It will take in some lovely parts of east Kent and the area I grew up!

Introduction
If you have stumbled across this page and are asking is this the right Kim, you are asking the wrong question my friend.  You should be asking could this be the Kim I have searched my whole life for and not yet found, if that is your question, if you have searched for a Kim in your life to make your life more complete and come now to this page with hope and a renewed faith in human kind, you may be sorely disappointed but stick around I see dead people.....
Bragging rights

despite some young pretenders to the chip throne locally, this place is the best. Old fashioned in decor it may be but the queue of pensioners at the door tells the story of a chip shop that does it well. I have NEVER had a poor chip from this place, all year round they manage to produce excellent well cooked chips with hardly a hint or oil or fat left behind. This is how I rate a chip shop on the quality of a good chip. The fish is again excellent, the batter is far superior to anywhere around, crisp and light and holds shape. I know there are others who love a fashionable harbour front eatery but for me it is the age old quality of a good plate of Fish and Chips at a good price that shines through. We often travel that extra mile for a meal here because I know we won't be disappointed because we never have been. Keep it up!

I can't blame the site for the weather, I will say however that this is a tough place to stay in the wind. Beautiful location leaves you really open to the elements. Showers and washing up was OK but very claustrophobic at busy times. Power was fluctuating with outages a couple of times over our weekend. All in all a beautiful area and the dog friendly site is a real must if you're with pets that like a good run, onsite dog field is a big plus to us. May revisit this one in more clement weather!

A really great place to stay, small and sometimes very busy this place has the happy factor. The pitches are a good size for campers and caravans and the well maintained area is spot on for a night or a week. Showers kept well and never a cold one, the water pressure and temp is some of the best we have ever had. Don't come here looking for bells and whistles with a pool or club house, come here because you want a good time enjoying camping with friends or family. The site feels safe and friendly for families or just happy go lucky groups. The team here are never too busy for guests and the service from them is always above and beyond.
