Always love me some Don Juans. Don't expect restaurant quality tex-mex, this is a GP fixture / fast food joint for the past 50 or so years (along with the Prairie Dog down the street) and it is like stepping back into the 1960s. Taco Thursdays is the best (or Taco Saturdays, after 4:00p.m.) For the naysayers: they print the worst reviews from here and tape them to the order window for the lulz :) PS: I don't like the guacamole, seems like it is some kind of artificial stuff, so don't get that.

A Grand Prairie fixture. Much better than the bell's and bueno's. Burrito's and combo plates are very good. Daily specials awesome. They have guacamole!

Authentic like Taco Bell. In fact, the crispy taco looked just like a taco supreme, and the 'homemade' salsa tasted like they collected taco bell packets and repackaged it. Their over use of yellow cheese is the first clue that this is not real Mexican...but some kind of Tex Mex. My order was ok, but definitely not authentic Mexican food. Workers seemed pretty miserable. The drive through was pretty quick, but I don't think I'll be returning.

This is a great authentic blast to the 1950 past in TexMex. Its a trip back in time in atmosphere and great food pricing.

Anyone one that thinks this place is authentic mexican food is crazy. Obviously its not authentic. Thats why the sign says "tex-mex". There are so many people on this site that put things that are just silly. Anyone who has been here and hasnt had one of the few experiences where someone just messes up (because were all human and people make mistakes) knows this place is solid. Its kept clean and nice and the food is the best in town. Taco smell cant even compare. I dont get some of these peoples reviews. Ive been coming here for years and not once has anything been "inedible" or "deplorable" I mean come on really? Love the place. Give it a try. You wont regret it.

Not quite romancing, but if I was faced the dilemma of choosing a last meal, it would be their 6$ chicken quesadilla for sure. I must say, there is a certain charm differentiating it from anything else. The chemistry of it all secures my business for years to come no matter how far the journey.
