Although not what you would describe as a 'colourful' or 'spectacular' bird, I quite happily sat for ages watching the Plantain-eaters, Crinifer piscator. Such shiny bills.

As far as I can find out, this is a species of Potter Wasp, Afreumenes aethiopicus, so-called because the female builds urn-shaped nests.
