Tavern 29 has a great rooftop beer garden. Happened to go in on a Monday night and found that they also have a beer special that gets you a flight of 4 draft beers (all craft) and a pint of draft beer for $12. Great deal. Servers were nice, but the rooftop closes at 10 due to noise ordinances in the Murray Hill area. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend for some quiet late night drinking on a Monday night. I did not try the food, but all the beer was cold and flavorful. I especially liked the Resin, which had a hoppy taste and a 9% alcohol content, which was very nice.

Went here for brunch with a group of 6. We all got some form of a burger (Hangover, Tavern Cheddar, and Turkey). I had the turkey with fries and it was great. Everyone was pretty happy with the food (although our server was pretty inattentive) and we got to enjoy the nice sunshine (even if the view is just of a brick wall).

This is one of those places that you can put in the "If only they were in a busier neighborhood" category. This place is pretty cool, plenty of seating, food and even a rooftop beer garden. The problem is no one really knows about it. We went to beer garden one weeknight during the summer and it was nearly empty. The food here is good but not great and the drink prices here are reasonable. I'll be back again to try out their brunch.

Beer selection diverse and knowledgeable; I am experienced with beer and this was as respectable as they come. Food was very good and somewhat inventive, definitely well above par for a bar. I will come back again and again when looking for an interesting meal with fantastic beer and great calm bar with good music.

Fun bar occupying 2 floors and a rooftop. The rooftop is only on the 3rd floor level so the view isn't fabulous but still nice during the summer. Both indoor areas are rather narrow and long and have tables throughout. The place offers a typical bar food menu, such as fried calamari, pizza breads and guac dip. I would recommend the guac, although watch out for the massive amount of onion. Drinks are good and so is the atmosphere, but nothing to brag about.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Excellent! Must have the short ribs that are braised in stout! Nice selection of burgers, too! Drinks: Excellent Space: One of the few rooftop bars. Good for date nights or get-togethers. Scene: Pick-up scene. Great afterwork crowd! Crowd: 20-30s Service: Croine outdid herself again (Stone Street was the first place)! 3 levels, service is great, & not shoulder-to-shoulder on weekdays after happy hour.
