Friends of the photography and travel community,

it is with great pleasure that I am introducing the Rwanda Photography Tour in collaboration with ALTRUVISTA, a pioneer in sustainable travels -
https://altruvistas.com/explore-rwanda-empowering-women-july-14-23-2018/.

The tour, EXPLORE RWANDA, A CULTURE EMPOWERING WOMEN is truly an inspiring trip that combine photography with our passion to meet with real people who are making an enormous change in the world. I am talking about women in Rwanda who, today, are making a difference for themselves and hopefully will shine across the world to change our own.

Myself, and Malia Everette - owner of Altruvista, have engineered this route very carefully to create a unique experience exploring the tiny East African nation off the beaten path. A final itinerary is on its way where you will be able to view each day of our activities on the field. From the beautiful capital city of Kigali to the breathtaking vistas of the Kitabi Tea plantations, we meet with local organizations and women, and listen to their stories of empowerment and how Rwanda has become number ONE in gender equality.

Our goals are to offer an opportunity to utilize your curiosity, your passion for photography and travel, or your sense of ambassadorship, or combining all and coming home fully charged with positive stories and portraits of strong and yet humble women living in the midst of magnificent landscape.

Feel free to contact any of us for any further questions or concerns.

After returning from my first assignment into Afghanistan, I published the work through a series of lectures and exhibition. This video is the result of an interview with Radio Canada who, celebrating an exhibition of this work at the Francophone Cultural Center of Vancouver, B.C., took a great interest into my work and nationalized the event. My work can be viewed in full: http://www.deltageographic.com

Caption for the photo on the flyer:
A student takes an environmental portrait of a family in Karongi district - Western part of Rwanda, along the Lake Kivu. This village is quite remote and we had access the day before while navigating by boat along the shore of the lake.
