Agree with other reviewer, never felt welcome. Had a reservation, still felt like we were not welcome. Hard to put a finger on it but the wife felt the same way. They must only prefer they're regular clientele. This was our first timeand probably last. Pricy, limited menu, changes every day. All four in our party said their meals were just ok. The rooms are nice, too bad it's just ok. Must be a place to be seen, etc, but I'd say if you consider yourself to be regular folks walk down Prince St and turn to one of many restaurants on Hanover St and enjoy. Never had a bad experience or meal at any place in the North End until tonight.

I refuse to eat here. When you walk in and the host treats you like your poor and dont belong i refuse to give up my money! Never judge a book by its cover.

Delicious! If you are looking for a good, classic Italian meal that does not include your regular Americanized-Italian dishes, then this is the place to be. You have to be a bit of an adventurous eater to enjoy some of the truly spectacular dishes that Mamma Maria offers, but if you are, it is well worth it. I had the tuna tartare, which I normally would not eat, but it just looked SO good, that I had to suck it up. And trust me, it was well worth it. For my entree I got the short rib, and holy moly was it incredible. The desserts were also phenomenal, but not your typical Italian desserts. The space is absolutely adorable--on a very bumpy cobblestone road, in a cozy old-school establishment. Highly recommended!!

I took some clients to this restaurant to thank them for their business and it's always a hit. Just a round the corner from Paul Revere's house it's in the heart of the North End so lots of history to talk about. The food and service are excellent.

Mamma mia the entire experience was delizioso! Every dish had us holding out our hands in the "perfecto!" Italian gesture. The romantic lighting and dazzling views of the city complemented our flavorful dinner.
