Our #Revolution confocal system is being used at +Rutgers University, Newark Medical School, where Dr. Karen Edelblum's lab focuses on understanding interactions within the intestinal epithelium to identify how gamma delta IEL motility can be used as a potential therapeutic in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease.

Visualizing single molecules in whole cells with a new spin. #Dragonfly is used to extend the application of the DNA-PAINT technique to whole-cell 3D super-resolution imaging.

Stunning images can be seen in this Wyss Institute communication where the author, Ralf Jungmann, started his work and now continues his research as Professor of Biochemistry at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.

Our ultra-sensitive #iXon #EMCCD camera is being used as part of the CHIMERA (Caltech HIgh-speed Multi-colour camERA) imaging system, which is looking for objects in the Kuiper Belt, the band of icy bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune that includes Pluto.

It can also detect near-Earth asteroids and exotic forms of stars. Scientists at the +NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and +caltech, both in Pasadena, are collaborating on this instrument.

This instrument is now stationed at the Palomar Hale 200-inch (5-m) telescope and is one of the most sensitive instruments of its class in the world.
