Just to clarify, I should have said "lift the lid off each day". No need to lift the punnets. You need to check for germination, as mentioned in the video, but also check for musty smells. If things seem to be going a bit fungal in there, leave the lid off for at least an hour a day, but the 23 or so covered hours will still help to keep your seeds moist.

The polystyrene box has no drainage holes. It can also double as a watering tray.

Great post from Nanaia Mahuta: http://www.labour.org.nz/news/government-must-support-our-gifted-children. Posts from Members or Parliament are among the things we aim for each year in the #NZGAW Blog Tour. Blogging by ordinary people, and by extraordinary gifted advocates too, helps this to happen.

http://www.connectedprincipals.com/archives/3953 I'm going to have to check out Pedro Noguera, after reading this. He seems to express some ideas that matter to me very well.

On my circles page, people are being sorted by relevance. Dear Google+, how do you decide someone is less relevant? That seems a bit dodgy, somehow.

Hilde, you have a fascinating sense of humour! David, it is the order of the people we have in our circles. Mona, I'm finding Google+'s guesses at "relevance" baffling too!

Not only good links for Gifted Awareness and Advocacy but also for getting in touch with organisations who can help you to understand - and I mean, REALLY understand what all the hype is about. These people are incredibly vulnerable in many ways and we abuse them through inattention and can scar there lives forever.

While you are giving up your alcohol and donating to cancer research this July, (well we are in NZ anyway), how about using your drinking time to read up about giftedness and all its facets.

These hangouts may mean I have to worry about unruly hair in the privacy of my own home. Uh Oh!
