As winter approaches, the veil between our world and the spirit world draws thin. To keep evil spirits at bay, the Hero Kids don terrifying costumes and set out into the night!
If you've previously purchased the Hero Kids Complete Fantasy Bundle, check your email for a free download link for these new All Hallows' Eve hero cards.

I love good in-depth reviews of Hero Kids adventures:
"It really is print-and-play ready. For the non-combat scenes, even those RP scenes that can lead to combat, there’s a clear setup, goal, and resolution. They’re important to the story and let the players resolve issues in a variety of ways without forcing a specific resolution at every turn."

Sometimes this role-playing game design lark doesn't go as planned.

Two and a half years ago I started work on this adventure for Hero Kids. Along the way, I got totally smashed but distractions, life, and uncertainty over the adventure. My work on the Forge Engine Universal Role-Playing Game certainly didn't help.

A couple of months ago I decided to pull my finger out an recommit to the adventure. This adventure took more effort than any of the previous Hero Kids adventures, by far. In the end, it's 57 pages long, which is about twice as long as the average Hero Kids adventure...

I am elated and unburdened by its release... :-)

Been pretty quiet around here while I've been working away on... Hero Kids things. So it's always nice to get a message like this one:
"I just wanted to give you a quick shout to say thanks again for the complementary copy of Hero Kids. I played Basement O' Rats with my 8- and 5-yo boys and they went completely nuts over it! So I went and bought the full fantasy bundle and it has quickly become our favorite hobby.
Once I was comfortable with the system I ran a couple more sessions for my kids and their cousin (11-yo), along with my brother and my sister's boyfriend (both in their 30's) and it was a huge hit with everyone. Of course the adults added their own "flavor" to the game, secretly backstabbing each other and creating some pretty hilarious situations. Both my boys have created their own characters and pets, and my older son has started making maps and wants to run his own games eventually.
Anyway, I'm glad to have discovered the game as it has given me another way to connect to my kids, which is invaluable to me. I appreciate that you gave me a chance to check it out. Thanks and take care!"

I've taken a deep breath and reviewed the entire to do list for Hero Forge Games. Find out about the final sales results from the Hero Kids Bundle of Holding, as well as the long work list for The Road to Ruin, Hero Kids, and Forge Engine. Drop a comment and let me know what you want to see:
