Fraunhofer FRP has printed #OLED displays onto stainless steel foil, which serves as a flexible substrate and highly-effective barrier against oxygen and water vapor (which destroy OLED materials). They use a roll-to-roll process that makes high volume production feasible. This could have an impact on everything from displays to lighting.
