We had such an AMAZING time here! The staff bent over backwards for any request we had, and could not have been any friendlier! One morning, we mentioned that we had a hard time choosing between two different breakfast items on the menu. After making a decision, much to our surprise, they brought out both items to us, without even charging us for the extra entree! And that is just one example of many about their hospitality. Beautiful beaches, wildlife everywhere, and walking distance to the National Park! This was a perfect spot that we would visit again in a heartbeat!!

Arenas del Mar was AMAZING. Wildlife everywhere! We were completely engulfed in squirrel, white-faced, and howler monkeys. We also saw all sorts of birds, frogs, butterflies, lizards, etc. It was so cool to see the jungle meet the beach. The beach was amazing, the food was amazing, the service was amazing. Everything was way more than I could have ever expected.

Freakin awesome!! was there for my honeymoon and loved every minute of it. The staff at the resort are very knowledgeable and friendly and make you feel welcome. They are very into nature and love the country they live in, Me and my wife were on shuttle bus ride one morning going to the rain forest for a hike and there was a garbage bag in the middle of the street and out bus driver pulled over and our tour guide got out and threw in the a garbage can- anything to help keep CR clean- by the way seeing all the monkies is pretty awesome as well

In October I stayed at Arenas Del Mar and had a great time relaxing by the pool, running on the beach and walking through Manuel Antonio National Park. The amenities at the hotel were perfect, the staff was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed here in October of 2013 and had a fantastic time. I had a suite on the lower level right near the playita. I went running every night on Manuel Antonio beach, went ziplining, saw the park and just had an overall incredible experience. Love Arenas Del Mar!

Amazing location, service, and amenities. We went there for our 10 year anniversary and could not have been happier with our choice. The food was delicious, the location secluded and romantic, the staff attentive ("con mucho gusto") should be there tag line. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be working there - kudos to management for creating a pleasant environment. We saw monkeys, sloths, those rat things, butterflies, etc. Read the other reviews for things I missed - here are some tips: 1 - take the drive from SJ to the resort - you'll see some amazing local sites along the way. 2 - take a short flight from the airport in Quepos on the way back - the view of the african palm farms and the mountains is amazing 3 - go to quepos for shopping but don't miss on making a right out of the resort to the restaurant beach side of manual antonio - there is a cool spot made out of a bomber and a wagon that serve great food 4 - kapi kapi is a restaurant served our favorite meal (sugarcane prawns and lobster ravioli) / the lunch menu at the hotel has a perfect tuna/avocado/rice bowl dish we loved 5 - ronny's place has an amazing view but be careful from oct- dec because it sets behind the manuel antonio park - you won't see it set completely. 6 - our best tours were the hanging bridges (think Indiana Jones bridge pictures), Santa Juana all day tour (true immersion and includes horses, waterfalls, fishing, and more), rafting, and superman zip line (epic). And much more more ;)
