I would give this zero stars if I could. To begin, the resort quoted me a rate over the phone which I agreed to and booked, not mentioning there was a mandatory "resort fee." When I complained, staff told me that it was not their responsibility to disclose the resort fee! When arriving, there was a long line of cars waiting to speak with an employee, who said that there was a further wait of at least 30 minutes to use valet parking. So we self-parked, which cost $23/day, even though the resort is located miles from downtown. Even after paying that ridiculous rate, a parking spot was not always available! Check-in took about another 30 minutes. The magnetic room keys easily became defective, which left us stranded in the halls or stuck unable to get out of the parking lot. The room was unremarkable. The common spaces were nicely manicured but there was nowhere to gather without paying extra for food. A airport shuttle cost $30, $5 more than a taxi! Go elsewhere.

Just returned from our Weekend in Nashville Tn at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. It was nothing but an enjoyable experience. The hotel is immaculate, constantly being attended to. The rooms are comfortable, as was the climate control in the room. My fellow travelers all commented at how quiet the rooms were, considering how full the hotel was occupied, and we were all in different areas. We ate at a few of the restaurants and were never disappointed in our meal and the service we received. The hotel staff were always very available to help in anyway possible. The only negatives I would offer is the hotel is so large and needs to offer their handicap guest easier access and information to the facilities. Limited restrooms and water fountains throughout. All in all it was a great experience and one to hopefully enjoy again!

Terrible customer service. We had seven rooms reserved for a convention- all were supposed to be together. Extremely high prices and terrible customer service. They had our group spread out all over this large resort when they had guaranteed us our group would be together. - we made our reservations in January with a May stay. Called several times with the guarantee we would all be together. Until check in,when they had all our reservations all over the place. Then their manager told us they would never promise us we would be near each other - while right next to us another large group checked in and were welcomed with consecutive rooms. Their manager literally said he wasn't going to to anything to fix the problem. Not at all happy with this resort's service. The facility is awesome, but if this is how they treat customers, I won't ever stay again! They did end up putting two of us in handicap rooms. These were both at the farthest end of the section and were not very nice. Dirty towels in the room too. Not clean at all. 1 1/2 hour check in really did not help either. I am adding to my most recent review: The customer service here never improved. Most of the rooms my party checked into were dirty. Since we booked rooms months in advance, but were assigned handicap rooms in the bowels of the hotel, we requested room changes the next day. We were told there weren't any available. Yet, in the lobby, they continued to check people in and out. Speaking with other event attendees, they were experiencing the same issues. I feel this place is so large, they really don't have any concern about upsetting a few people. This place isn't cheap and when you book so far ahead and pay so much for an upscale Marriott room, I guess I could expect to get the room I pay for - so not the case here!

Huge, sprawling, temperature challenged tourist trap. It's like a huge amusent park without any rides or anything particularly amusing. Inflated pricing on just about everything. Waited in a long hot line to get checked in, took about 1/2 hour to get through line. Plenty of staff but they just arent efficient at check-in. Room was OK. Lots of noise from the hallway. Was woken up several times in the middle of the night by partying high school kids. Went to Hickory House but they were closed for some reason which was difficult to discern except for the locked doors. Went to Ravello and was told it would be 5mins for a table, 10mins later was told I could not get a table, after watching people without reservations get seated before I arrived and after I arrived. Cascade restaurant had decent food and decent service. 7/10 Decent place for a convention but I cant imagine any other reason to come here. Oh! And charging your guests $23 a day to park a car in a parking lot less than 1/3 full is a crime. Seriously, it's outskirts Nashville not downtown San Francisco. Shameful. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cheers to the employees who obviously try....

The hotel is very pretty and a handful of people are very nice however when you have a large hotel and there is one of the largest events going on downtown you say you have buses and that was not the fact. The buses were late, drivers didn't know where they were going this is an event that has been going on for year and they don't have enough buses or drivers. I booked the hotel a year in advance its not like they didn't know this event was taken place. There where not prepared to accommodate their guests like they promised when the room was booked a year ago. Our stay was for 5 nights the week was the hottest week they had all year and housekeeping never changed our bed sheets we were at outdoor concerts all week. They barley cleaned our room, we got ice the first night the ice bucket was never moved and we never received a new bag of ice the entire week. We asked for new towels and our towels from that day were hung up because they were still damp that evening. If a beautiful place to see and that is what they count, I have received better customer service at a let elaborate and way cheaper hotel. I will never go back.

We had a large convention to attend and decided to pay the outrageous cost to be at the convention hotel. We will never make that mistake again. The trip began with our group waiting until after 10PM for our rooms to be available. The staff was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. When we finally made it into our rooms, they were small and very basic leaving us to wonder what the high price was for. Over the 4 days we were there, our rooms were cleaned once. We never received the towels that were requested and the trash piled up. The food is overpriced and the hotel itself is hard to maneuver. Overall, this was a horrible experience. Next time, we will definitely pay 1/3 of the price and stay across the street.

The website contains information that the room shall have high speed internet and that was not the case. The internet was always malfunctioning, always falling out and I was unable to communicate with my family. Furthermore the shuttle that was suppose to bring me to the airport was not available on 5 o'clock in the morning. I was outside 5 o'clock in the morning and did not see no shuttle. I went and ask the receptionist and she argued with me that the bus was there which was not the case. I fine that it is not her place to argue with me. I have been to many hotels all over the world and from all of them this is the first hotel that I had to write a complain. unfortunately i can not recommend this hotel to someone else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Visit for the weekend is just starting and I am into the third hour of checking in. I am finally in a room but still have no keys so we are still held hostage and can't leave the room to get dinner. Worst check-in and customer service experience in 35+ years of travelling. I only give them a star because site won't allow me to give them zero. We are here for a cheer competition and have observed many other frustrated patrons as well. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else.

THE RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR ANNOUNCES FINAL YEAR AT THE GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE IN NASHVILLE

Santa Claus Takes Center Stage in a New Heartwarming Storyline Featuring New Scenes Alongside Beloved Fan Favorites for a Magical Final Run in Nashville

NOVEMBER 21 – DECEMBER 24, 2014

TICKETS ON SALE NOW

Nashville, Tenn. (October 9, 2014)—MSG Entertainment (MSGE) announced today that the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes will mark its final season in Nashville in 2014.

Commemorating its 13th and final year as part of Gaylord Opryland Resort’s annual A Country Christmas, America’s #1 holiday show will celebrate the magic of Christmas like never before with an all new, unforgettable experience as Santa Claus takes center stage with a re-imagined second act featuring technological enhancements and dazzling Rockettes choreography alongside beloved fan favorites.

The Christmas Spectacular will run at the Grand Ole Opry House from November 21 – December 24, 2014. Tickets are on sale now.

“After 13 incredible years in Nashville, we are announcing the final season of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the Grand Ole Opry House,” says David Goodman, president of productions and live entertainment, MSG Entertainment. “We are so grateful for Nashville audiences making the Radio City Christmas Spectacular part of their holiday traditions over the years and, as a gift to both newcomers and returning guests, we are bringing a re-imagined second act to make for a magical final year at the Grand Ole Opry House. With this heartwarming new storyline coupled with technological enhancements and the precision technique of the legendary Rockettes, audiences will not want to miss this year’s production.”

In the brand new storyline, Santa Claus helps two brothers find a special gift for their sister in “Magic is There,” taking them on a magical journey to his workshop at the North Pole, where playful ragdolls come to life. The newly re-imagined scene, “Here Comes Santa Claus,” reveals how Santa can be in multiple places at once. These uplifting moments highlight the spirit of Christmas in a way that only Santa himself can deliver.

The Rockettes are known for their rich history, unrivaled talent, strength, precision and athleticism and have become one of the nation’s most beloved icons. They continue to take the Christmas Spectacular to new heights, dazzling audiences with their performance style, as it continues to be both deceivingly complex and entirely glamorous.

The Rockettes will bring audiences to their feet with the show-stopping number “Christmas in New York,” as they showcase their signature eye-high kicks and immerse audiences in the buzzing scenes and sounds of New York City. In fan-favorite scenes, including the high-energy, tap number, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” the Rockettes will showcase their challenging and dynamic choreography.

The stage will come alive with scenes including “Sleigh Ride,” where the Rockettes become Santa’s reindeer, helping both Santa and the audience begin their magical journey, and “Christmas Dreams,” which will showcase the Rockettes unparalleled precision technique.

Beloved numbers such as “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” which continues to set the standard as the signature Rockettes number for precision performance, and “The Living Nativity,” both of which have been performed since the Christmas Spectacular’s inception in 1933, remain a vital part of the show’s core. Audiences will have the opportunity to lend their voices in the closing number, the “Hallelujah Chorus,” a tradition in the Nashville production.

Since 1933, the production at Radio City Music Hall has played to more than 75 million people and has become a holiday tradition for families. The Christmas Spectacular continues to create memories that audiences have come to treasure and this year, will mark an all new spectacular experience for Nashville as it celebrates its final year at the Grand Ole Opry House.
