I would go even further and say that passwords are generally a relict of the past. A universal two factor authentication could be a way out. But to be honest: I currently don't know a real world product that could be used for protecting the access to all the services that you use in the Internet.
Translation help for the younger people: The "Internet" is exactly the same as what you call "Cloud" nowadays ... ;-)

Very interesting and also entertaining article. Especially #13 reminds me of a company I know pretty well. Although it has been hacked many times now, it still has not learned its lessons well enough. So tjhe myth within this company is like "Our company is secure because we haven’t been hacked in the last 24 hours".

Is it really surprising to see that happen? Where is the difference between Apps nowadays and Shareware in former times? You can never be sure that the software you download from anywhere is free of malicious code.
