The proposal to convert further 8 million hectares of Philippine soil into oil palm plantations made headlines across the country and shed a harsh light on how Philippine authorities imagine their country's development. Call on the Governor of Palawan to save the Palawan Man & Biosphere Reserve!

Vast swathes of land are being devastated and rivers polluted for Canadian tar sand crude – the world’s dirtiest oil. While tar sand oil is currently banned in the EU, the oil industry will force open Europe’s door if the CETA trade agreement is ratified. Speak out against CETA!

I wonder how many solar panels that kind of money would buy... or how many jobs building and installing these solar panels would create... or how much The People would save with these solar panels... or how much independent clean energy our country would have.... or... what the hell we need more F-35 fighter jet to spread democracy with cemeteries around the world...

Gabe Zichermann, founder and CEO of Gamification Co., believes business success is driven by tools that excite rather than bore. By synthesizing the best ideas from gaming, loyalty programs and behavioral economics, Zichermann says employee engagement can reach new heights. "The best ideas often fail because they don't get buy-in and participation from the end user," he said during a Studio C conversation at GreenBiz Forum 2014.
The gamification guru shares the three F's behind a meaningful sustainability plan: fun, friendship and feedback.

Air pollution from coal power plants has gotten so bad in China that it often ranks as the #1 cause of social unrest. This map shows the heavy health toll.
