Images of XANDA Cecil's son, courtesy of Brian Courtenay our Chairman at the SATIB Conservation Trust from his recent trip to Hwange.
Thanks to Brent Stapelkamp, Brian was fortunate enough to see Xanda. They made a positive ID. Xanda is a progeny of Cecil. According to Brian, "The legend lives on and from the attached images, he is quite a boy"
They found Xanda mating with three ladies. No other lions around, so we are hoping to see some cubs soon.

Please assist us to Help Lovemore to achieve his dream!
Lovemore has been part of the Hwange Lion Research Project (of which Cecil the Lion was a very important Lion) since august 2010.
With four years of experience from working with communities on Human Wildlife Conflict related issues in Hwange, Lovemore's major strength is the ability to speak all three local language dialects fluently, and he has a good understanding of the community's cultural beliefs and values.
Lovemore hopes to further his studies and proceed onto doing a Doctorate with the prestigious Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (Oxford University) in order to improve knowledge on wildlife to try and mitigate the conflict.
We need dedicated local people like Lovemore who have a passion for to be able to work & liaise with the local communities to educate them on Human-Animal Conflict related issues.
Lovemore created the comic "Vusa the Wildlife Guardian" which you can see in the images below which he uses to educated the children in the local communities.
With your help we can raise funding to make Lovemore’s dream a reality by assisting him in getting his qualification which will help improve his understanding on Human Wildlife Conflict mitigation measures from around the globe, so as to develop approaches to protect and effectively conserve Zimbabwe’s natural biodiversity for the benefit of his community.
