Gotta read this.

Long read but well worth it.
1st year law school student writes a complaint about her professor having worn a Black Lives Matter t-shirt during class. The professor's response is priceless.

The 4th of July is no longer remembered as an American Holiday.
It's the day the world declared in one voice, "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"

Via +Acadia Einstein, and as he said "read every word". Then think, think about what action needs to happen and what your role in this impending solution is going to be. Being a "bystander" is no longer a viable option. We all need to get involved here, and if you are white I am looking at you.

PSA: Att white folks.

Because as a member of the "race" what is currently in the majority. It is your duty (not mine because I don't have the power) too speak out against social injustice every chance you get and everytime you see it. It is up to you to inform the members of your clan to not be fearful upon sight of a black man and treating our women any kind of way Because you dam sure don't fear them. It's your job not ours to sway media perception and call into cnn and Fox news and explain that their tone and style of reporting pants all of us in a negative light by attacking the victim and saying things like "he shouldn't have been resisiting or he had it coming due to his past" everytime a black person is murdered or mentioned in the media or by police our past histories are brought up even though we're the victim and our past has nothing to do with the case similar to how all women are currently dealing with rape. In short I'm not the problem im simply trying to exist.

We know where the fear comes from. White cops aren't over policing their own neighborhoods and killing unarmed people in their communities. And they don't live in close proximity too us due to banking and housing practices in this country so the medias perception of us is most people's reality. We're portrayed as over sexuallized thieves and drug dealers. Despite the fact that more whites do everything that we're stereotyped for. Sure a conversation needs to happen but it's all for nothing when the people who need to actually listen and change are the ones perpetuating and instigating the madness. For a discussion to take place all white people must first realize that they are the problem and not us.

take action and go to city your planners and saying we need some color in this whitrbread ass hood.

Only then will shit actually change it is up to YOU all to show us that you want us to be a part of mainstream society and not some counter culture to be exploited and looted at will.

The problems are systemic and we cannot fix them. Even if we tell you to shut up for no reason. Just sit there and soak in the rant becsuse we're the injured party.
