Number 1 reason I quit smoking was to save my computer. Cleaning all the tobacco laced dust and dirt today highlights why it is more harmful to electronics than humans. The dust just sticks to everything.
"computers, televisions, and stereos, can be destroyed from long-term exposure particularly to cigarette smoke."

Spring cleaning and turning over a new leaf in more ways than one this year. Install of a high output cpu cooling system plus portable a/c should be a major improvement to help regulate the temperature. I expect to see another very hot summer in Regina this year.

Incredibly dangerous highways in Manitoba today. Major blizzard hitting this afternoon and expected to bring up to 50cm of snow, extremely high winds with total whiteout conditions.

Warm and Windy Sunset
January ended off with record breaking warmth and a very little if any snow on the ground in Regina. The deep freeze begins to come back today and we should see normal temperatures again into the month of February for about a week followed by another Chinook. So once again, winter looks like it has lasted about a month where it normally is a long 4 months of extreme cold.

Here are some photos I took yesterday as the warm front got replaced by the cold front. Sunset overlooking Wascana Lake in Regina with the Saskatchewan Legislature on the horizon. And yes, that is a patch of green grass I found in front of the Canadian Blood Services building.

Major storm system update:
California weather will be the big news story as this week begins with heavy rains, flash flooding and epic snowfall totals. North and central parts of California are expected to get drenched with heavy rains while mountain resorts on the eastern edge of the state could get over 10 feet of snow by Wednesday. AccuWeather has more on this situation and are saying "catastrophic flooding","life threatening" and "property damage".

Western Canada is also going to be getting fresh snow in high amounts as southern BC already has snowfall warnings active for 10 to 15 cm tonight. Parts of southern Alberta are warned for 10 to 15cm as well and southern Saskatchewan may be added to the warnings on Monday.
