Went there yesterday with family for a birthday celebration and we are definitely not going back, this was our second chance for the restaurant and once again we received a horrible service. Our server had an attitude during the whole time we were there, we even wondered if Maggiano’s now trying out something new to differentiate itself, as some restaurant do where they are known for servers with bad attitude. The funny thing is our server made a comment “see, I am easy to get along with”, as if we were fighting with her, which we were not. During 2 hours we were there we saw our server in total of 6 times before she brought our checks (including times she corrected mistakes with food), even though we saw her at her other tables more frequently and being more attentive. By the way, even though I specified during the reservations and at the table that we were celebrating a birthday and server was aware of that (she asked whose birthday it was and congratulated her), we did not get the lemon cookies birthday plate. Furthermore, server brought the candles after she brought the dessert so she just asked the person to stop eating her cake so she can stick the candles in it. We arrived at 6 for a 6:15 reservation, and were seated immediately. Got our water and explained to our waitress that we had 2 separate checks and who is on what check. Got our bread and butter…. And tried to tell her we wanted to order drinks as well. She came back to take our drink order, and then disappeared for 30 minutes (we only ordered soft drinks, iced teas, lemonade and milk). After she re-appeared with drinks we pointed out that there was an error with one order, which increased her negative attitude as if it was our fault that one of us wanted an iced tea and did not get it. We got total of one refill on our drinks (including water) even though most of the drinks were consumed while we were waiting on food. Our drinks were cleared out from the table after we place a desert order, so when desert came we had nothing to drink with it…..Our 2 bread buckets for table of 10 were never refilled; the bread was consumed before we even got our drinks brought to us. The food came out, again, one of the things was wrong but we asked the runner who brought the food to change it and he did it immediately. We placed a dessert order, and waited another 20-30 minutes for it. Even though we could see our server at other tables she never made her way to ours to check on us. The whole time she had an attitude as if she did not wanted to be there and we were a nuisance. It seemed that the restaurant had a lot of customers so I can understand if she was busy or kitchen was overwhelmed. However making it seems as if it was our fault because we came in to celebrate a birthday to add to her workload was not a way to go. When we got our checks, our server circled the suggested tip selection on the check to bring it to our attention, and then she came back 3 times to make sure she got her copy. I wish she was as attentive to our table during the meal as she was during the time she was waiting on her tip. As a former server I can provide her with this tip-being nice to the people at your table from the beginning of the meal earns you much bigger tip at the end of the meal. Overall it was a bad service, a mediocre and overpriced food, we are not going to be back, nor would we recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other restaurants where we can spend our money and not get an attitude from the server and bad service we had last 2 times we came in.

If I could give 10 stars I would, The management and staff were amazing from beginning to end. They really were on top of things with helping me surprise and propose to my fiance. I am most definitely glad I chose Maggiano's to share this special occasion with us. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious.

Husband and I ate lunch here on weekday. The food and service were horrible. We asked to be seated at a table by the window in the main dining room and were told by the hostess that the section was closed. So, we were seated at a booth by the window in the bar area with little to no desirable atmosphere. The bartender served as our waitress and her service and attentiveness left much to be desired. We both ordered salad and lasagna. The lettuce in the salad was old, faded and wilted. I sent it back right away. My husband ate his and said it was "okay". The lasagna was barely warm and tasted as if it had been frozen. We should have gone to Cheesecake Factory. Won't make that mistake again.

I stopped into Maggiano's for a quick meal after showing homes for sale in the Short Pump, Far West End area and while the food was decent, both the restaurant and the staff are starting to seem a little tired. They have a deal now where you buy a meal and they send you home with a pre-prepared version of the same meal. Interesting, but it smacks of gimmick. Also, I like to balance my meals with a solid dose of veggies, but here you have to buy your side dish as an extra item. To me that's like charging me to check my luggage on an airplane. Shouldn't that be included? I mean, what would Mamma Maggiano say?

Today 8/29/15 I walked in and seated myself at the tabletop and Not one single waitress stopped at my table not one. I sat there for 10 mins and two families walked in sat behind me and 2 different waitress waited on them so I walked the hell out. How rude? I'm not sure if I will return again. I even called to speak with a supervisor and they left me on hold. They need to pay attention to who comes in first. The least they could have done is say wait someone will be with you. Smh

We went there on a weeknight for a birthday gathering. We had reservations and were seated on time. From then on, things went downhill. Our server was polite and friendly but kept forgetting our drinks or mixing up the order. Some drinks we never got at all. We waited for a really long time for our food to come out. Our party notified staff twice that the bathroom was a mess. The food was pretty good and they were accommodating towards a food allergy at our table but some dishes seemed like that sat a while before they were brought out. THEN we found a hair in the food. The manager was apologetic (but really defensive and snippy) and comped the one person's meal (and gave him a $25 gift card) but that person wasn't interested in eating anymore. At that point, some of us wanted to get up and leave but we still had dessert and a to-go order we were waiting on. So we got thru dessert with any problems, and asked for our bill which was screwed up. Then we discovered that our to-go order was never put in. At that point we had been there for 3.5 hours and weren't waiting around anymore. The whole experience was chaotic. I think maybe having 2 servers instead of just 1 for our party of 10 would've prevented things from snowballing into disaster. All our experiences at Maggiano's prior to this had been good.

Heavy caloric alfredo sauced food wrapped in a restaurant veneer of every New York movie that you've seen. This stiff is best saved for a special occasion. If you come here more than twice a year, you should get a cholesterol test immediately.

Food was excellent. Service was good. The food took a while to come out, but that was my only complaint. Being able to get one of the classic pastas for around $13 and take another one home for free was a great value. The atmosphere is also nice. It has a very upscale feel to it and the menu has several more expensive items if you want to go that route, but also offers selections that cater to the more budget minded consumer.
