I wrote the beginning of this song after taking Swim class at DeAnza College. There was an elderly lady registered in my class and one day after class I saw her sitting on the bench in the ladies change room trying to comb her hair and struggling. For a moment she stopped and just stared into space. I actually ended up giving her some spray to help her comb her hair out and we had a nice chat. I went home after classes that day and penned a few words down which later on became the seedlings for this song...

Starting a new life means studying limiting beliefs and events from the past. When you can move past the past you can clarify what you want to manifest in your future.
I am undergoing a complete deconstruction of my life in order to study and learn how to move forward in a more constructive and fruitful way.
Have you ever taken time to break your life down, sort through the pieces and build yourself a new and better you?

What are your biggest life questions or fears?

My loves...
I need your input:
What are your biggest questions about your life when you sit and your inner voice (or voices) speaks to you?
Also, What things are you most afraid of in life?
Are you scared to fail? Scared to start? Afraid you won't find a soulmate?
What do you think about when it is quiet and you are alone with your thoughts?

Hi loves! How are you?

So I haven't had a hair cut in 6 months!! ✂✂✂
I am trying to find a hair stylist here in Kampala who can give me back my bangs and cut my fine baby soft hairz. Thankfully I have a couple of leads.

I was thinking of maybe growing my bangs out because it can get humid here in #kampala and my hairz stick to my head, but I think I look better with a bang (fringe).

What's the longest you have gone without a hair cut?

On a bus in Uganda in the Western Region. So many new things to see! I feel that as an artist you need to refill your cup. For me, creativity is restored by getting out of my comfort zone, challenging myself, having new experiences, talking to new people and being out in nature. I am really enjoying my new environment and the experiences I am so fortunate to have!

I have been spending a lot of time on YouTube and Facebook lately as I prepare and study for my next journey. I notice how brutal the comment sections can be. Wow! The way people 'converse' online seems to degrade more and more with each passing year.
Why is this?
Why do people love to judge, tear down and rip apart?
If you don't like someone or something, just close the page and find something you feel good about.
Life is too short for so much anger and hate.
Support what you love. ❤❤
Do not spend one second of your energy on destruction.

I just heard that singer (The Voice) Christina Grimmie was shot and killed during an autograph signing after her own show. Rest is Peace to this beautiful, talented girl. There really are no words.

As artists we put ourselves out there on Social Media and are so vulnerable to the world. In private we deal with obsessed fans, stalkers, people who think the relationship is 'deeper' than it really is and get attached in an unhealthy way to you and do and say all kinds of crazy things.

We have to step back and examine our connections with people using social media and media in general. There are a lot of imbalanced people out there and while we acknowledge the struggles they endure we have to safeguard ourselves from stuff like this. What happened here is an extreme example but on a lesser level scenarios like this play out every day.

Artists, protect yourselves and try to set boundaries as much as you can. This really goes for anyone using social and other forms of media. You know what your intentions are but often people live in their own heads and they may have a completely different intention/story playing in their own mind.
This whole situation is truly heartbreaking.

Story
Tagline
How are ya? I'm a vocalist, songwriter and lover of people. www.natalie-brown.com
Introduction
Whistling, hand claps, funk-strumming guitar, and a boppin' bass line lay the sonic stage for Natalie Brown's luminous vocals on "Wish Upon a Star", the first track of the self-released EP "This Christmas". The up-tempo jazz-inspired "Spirit of Christmas Time" follows, marrying old-school with new-school before taking the listener back to Natalie's Pop/R&B roots with the mid-tempo track "Favorite Time of Year". The EP then settles into the mellow zone with the beautifully-rendered ballads "Save the Last Dance" and "This Christmas" - the latter being the title track of the EP and a tribute to Natalie's mother who lost a valiant battle with cancer in 2013.

Fans of Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Sam Smith and Morgan James will definitely find something to enjoy on this Holiday release. With musical influences ranging from Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin, to Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight, Natalie Brown's music is described as uplifting and inspiring and fuses R&B/Pop with Adult Contemporary and a touch of 'soul'. "When the music began to play and her voice began to sing, I knew that I had to meet her, feel her energy and hear her voice in person. Natalie is alluring and sensual, warm and healing" says Grammy Award-winning R&B and soul singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele.

The "This Christmas" EP was recorded at Natalie Brown's Studio 302 in Ottawa, Ontario Canada beginning in 2013 and released on November 18th 2014 worldwide via iTunes, Amazon, and a host of other digital stores. With this latest release, Natalie is self-sufficient and (co-) runs her own independent record label, publishing company and recording studio.

Born in Canada, Natalie Brown‘s passion for music was nurtured from a young age by her involvement in theater, gospel music, creative writing and local session work as a vocalist and writer. Upon deciding to pursue a professional music career, she moved to California and was selected to sing with internationally acclaimed Gospel recording artist Ron Kenoly during his “Welcome Home” tour in 1996. She toured around the USA and after returning to California, Natalie studied with world-renowned vocal instructors Seth Riggs (Stevie Wonder, Prince, Barbra Streisand) and Dave Stroud (Frank Ocean, Demi Lovato, Natasha Bedingfield).

Natalie’s debut album “Let The Candle Burn” was released in late 2000 and contained thirteen original songs. Created with a thoughtful range of subject matter, tempo and mood throughout the album, it was enthusiastically welcomed by fans and industry personnel alike. She painted an interesting tapestry of sound on an album that included carefree, upbeat tracks, mid-tempo chill out songs and sweet soulful ballads.

Natalie returned to the studio to record the 2003 Holiday album entitled “A Cool Christmas“, a 10 song Cool R&B/Pop influenced collection of Holiday favorites. After a limited edition run, the album was discontinued and is now a collector’s item.

In the Spring of 2004 the digital singles ‘I Wonder‘ and ‘Queen of Me‘ were made available on Natalie’s official site. The songs garnered tremendous attention and In July 2004, ‘Queen of Me’ was released by Avex, Inc. Japan on the “Soul Essentials 7″ series with songs by Rahsaan Patterson, Earth, Wind & Fire and others.

Much to the delight of fans eagerly awaiting new material, January 2009 saw the release of the long awaited sophomore album “Random Thoughts“. The album features a selection of songs with varying themes (Natalie’s Random Thoughts) that range from the inspiring “Hold Your Head Up High”, the girl power anthem “Queen of Me” and the uplifting “It’s A Beautiful Day”, to the thought provoking “What’s Going on Next Door?”, the unity rallying call of “Come Closer”, the sultry “How I Love 2 Love U”, the soulful “You’re Mysterious” and signature love ballad “I Knew You Were The One” and more.

Starting in 2010 Natalie shared via her nVlogs Video Blog series the making of her 4rd full length album project entitled “The Relationship Odyssey“. The album was released on January 17, 2012 with the partial support of fans via a crowdfunding effort using the Indiegogo platform. Songs from all 3 original projects have been used extensively in Film and TV Productions world-wide.

With a substantial body of recorded work behind her, Natalie is working on a new full-length album due in 2015 and is set to hit the road on tour.

I discovered this husband and wife team via Google search. They have super reasonable fees, great use of technology and the atmosphere is super welcoming. So far I have had a bi-annual checkup and some filling work done by Dr. Sean Gorendar. Dr. Sean is a funny guy who makes the time in the chair pass quickly. I received great care from the team and would highly recommend this Dental practice!

Today was my first time visiting Brachic. I had an amazing experience. I am larger breasted and have struggled with bras and sizing for some time. I went on YouTube to see how to properly size myself but realized from reading info online that I might be better off visiting a specialty bra boutique for fitting and consult since it seems size varies by manufacturer. I found out about Brachic via Google search but then a friend of mine also mentioned them so we decided to go together for a visit. We were cheerfully greeted by the staff and asked if it was our first time to the shop. Then we were asked what we were looking for. I was introduced to my fitter Maryanne who was just lovely. She took me to a private room where my concerns and taste in bras was discussed and then she brought a selection of bras. I tried several on to narrow choice of style and support level and I ended up choosing 2 bras. The price point is on the high end but this is a garment you wear daily and after this fitting I honestly can say that the foundation you wear makes all the difference not only to how your clothes fit but to how you physically feel better with a proper fitting, supportive bra! It is so worth every penny! It boosted my confidence to see how nicely my shirts fit with the right bra and to be able to wear a tank top again feels amazing. The ladies told me how to properly care for the bra so it lasts a long time and gave such helpful tips. This is a fantastic shop and I will be back to get more bras. It also feels great to support a local Ottawa business!

My husband and I needed our car towed today and we had an amazing experience with Response Towing. They came in the time frame specified and our Tow Mechanic Demir was personable, professional and gave us A++ service. He took us to our garage of choice and made sure we got to our destination quickly and safely. I actually have not experienced this good customer service in years and the pricing was really fair. Very pleasant experience and would recommend this company to anyone in Ottawa needing a tow. Thanks Demir!
