Whenever possible, we recycle all glass, cardboard, aluminum cans, and plastic. As part of our green efforts, we also use only unbleached pizza boxes and napkins.

Most people know that pepperoni is made of pork. But as you will learn in this video, making pepperoni for pizza is a complex and highly specialized process.

Chicago style deep dish is thicker and heavier than almost any other pizza you will get, it’s true. Flimsy, soggy thin crust slices from that East Coast city whose name we won’t even mention simply can’t measure up to a hearty slice of Windy City pizza, baked in a pan with a crisp crust. But while it’s always hearty, your deep-dish pizza doesn’t have to be unhealthy. The guide below will help you stay healthy while still enjoying this satisfying comfort food.

While Windy City-style deep dish is of course our favorite here at Pizz’a Chicago, we know that there are many ways to enjoy pizza. Here are just a few from around the world.

During the 1998 season the Chicago Cubs enjoyed baseball fame again when Sammy Sosa had his much-publicized home run record chase, facing off against Mark McGwire and perennial rival the St. Louis Cardinals. During that era, the Cubs were managed by baseball veteran Dusty Baker.

The beef is slow-cooked for maximum flavor, then sliced extra thin and topped with peppers. For the true Chicago experience, the sandwich should be smothered in the gravy from the cooked beef. To see how Italian beef is made at Al’s, one of the city’s iconic restaurants, watch this short clip.

I'm not a pizza snob, but I wasn't as impressed as some of the other users are. It's not bad... Just nothing really stood out to me to make it special. I did however grow up not far from Chicago so that style isn't special to me.

Still remember this location fondly from back in the day when I used to work in the Silicon Valley. Used to be my favorite lunch spot. Glad to see it is still in business 10 years later. If I hadn't moved to Europe I'd still be going there :)

Delicious deep dish pizza where even the small version is two servings for me! One small Rush Street pizza, essentially anything that is meat on top of the dough, came to $17 as a walk-in takeout, which was ready after 25 minutes. Will be there again!

Such a cute little restaurant! I had been to their other location in Palo Alto a few years back, and remembered liking it a lot, so we decided to give it a second try at their Santa Clara location! I got a lunch special which includes a house salad, a mini deep dish pizza and a fountain drink for just under $9 - what a fabulous deal, right? I thought everything was great, and the restaurant definitely lived up to the Chicago vibe it claims. It's not the typical deep dish that I'm used to (sauce over all of the cheese and toppings) but it was really good. The crust was doughy and delicious. I definitely would come back if I were in the area! They have outdoor seating as well, so it makes a great spot for a pizza splurge when the weather is beautiful outside (which is almost always in California!).

Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at this very much Chicago style pizzeria. The walls are absolutely covered with Chicago memorabilia, including photos of the city and a large picture of Michael Jordan. The pizza was good and the prices were reasonable.

Very good deep dish pizza. Not fancy inside, but cute and clean and absolutely dedicated to their Chicago heritage.
