"Friendly staff, cute uniforms, and amazing variety of gluten free vegan goodies."
"Tasty stuff but overpriced and they won't give you a normal piece of cake."

Sweet treats are amazing. Savory...not so much. Definitely try the babycakes - they're adorable and tasty. Can get very crowded, especially on weekends, so consider visiting at an off time.

This amazing bakery is a safe haven for gluten-free diners! The sweets are just as delicious as any glutinous desserts. The only aspect I feel could use improvement is breakfast. The potatoes & squash were delicious but the biscuits and gravy were sweet, rather than savory. I will have to try other non-desserts to complete my review regarding their food. Defintely worthwhile wether you're a gluten-free diner or not 😊

I happened to be out at New Seasons grabbing a bite to eat and my eyes found cup of chocolate mocha mousse. This was wonderful because I needed chocolate that was rich and creamy on a spoon. I didn't see that it was vegan or gluten free but it didn't matter. This delightful cup was a slightly odd but not unpleasant texture prompted me to actually read the silly label. I laughed as I read and smiled wide with each mouth full. I bought two more cups for late dinner treat when I got home and for a lunch treat. Thanks for the wonderful treats.

Not awful but not very good and WAY overpriced. This is a cute shop but don't be deceived. Tried both cheesecake and pie; cheesecake just tasted like coconut and had an odd texture, pie had a grainy crust and lacked flavor. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever eaten but at $8 a slice I expected much better. Won't be back, sorry.

Wedding Cake For our July 2016 wedding I needed a cake that was GF for myself and a few of our guests. I decided to go with Petunia's because I have tried her cookies, cakes and cupcakes at stores all over Portland and the Rocked at the Nines bridal event I attended. All her flavor combinations are delicious! I had her construct a 3 tier wedding cake with 3 different flavor combinations, for 100 guests. We decorated the cake with fresh flowers leftover from the floral arrangements. The end result was beautiful! Guests could not stop raving about how delicious the wedding cake was, multiple people told me it was the best cake they've ever had! WIN!! Thank you Petunia's!!

In June they decided to go nut free. The regular cakes like the chocolate espresso hazelnut cupcake and the almond bundt cake were not available as they were changing recipes. Perfectly makes sense. Then we order the turtle cheesecake and the Chocolate raspberry cupcake. My cupcake had sunk in and was over dosed with whipped cream to take the shape of a pretty cupcake. Even worse to find the turtle cheesecake topped with nuts!!

Hi there. We are so sorry you had a negative experience. Did you let your server know or ask for a manager so that they could make it right for you? We also have not gone nut free, to clarify for everyone. We also don't use whipped cream, as we are a vegan establishment. We hope you'll give us another try! Have a great evening :)

Stumbled upon Petunias and decided to grab a quick treat for a visit with some friends. Upon digging in we quickly discovered that the cupcake was off, the peanut butter "cake" was a rice crispy treat and the salted Carmel bar tasted like bananas. Wait...this isn't right. It's gluten free! No, it's vegan! No, it's both! No, it's gross!

This place is only good if you've completely forgotten what real pastries/desserts are supposed to taste like. First time we came we didn't know it was Vg/GF, and we all almost spit out our very pricey desserts. I make GF/DF stuff at home all the time that tastes 10x better. Just not a fan. Sorry. 😕
