Such good advice. I love the one, "Love your kids more than you hate your ex." So true. Many clients cannot put their hatred and animosity toward their ex aside and focus on the kids. This is incredibly detrimental to the children, and then parents wonder why their kids act out. Be good to each other!

"I needed someone who could really fight for me. Lyndsay Howard was straight forward, honest and worked vigorously on my behalf all while working within my budget. I now share custody with my son and I have Lyndsay to thank for that. Absolutely heartbreaking read. Being involved in the family court system, I see tragic events all the time, but this could take the cake. Many of my clients have "run-ins" with Child Protection, in the sense that CPS is called to investigate them because an angry spouse (or ex-spouse) is making falsified/exaggerated claims about the children. Or, sometimes it has been my client who is the party calling CPS. Its a thankless job, but as this article shows, there are clearly "holes" in ALL aspects of the investigatory process. My heart breaks for this child. May he hurt no more. May he know joy and happiness in a much healthier and protected place
