Menu

Lüke New Orleans is Besh’s homage to the grand old Franco-German brasseries that once reigned in New Orleans. Lüke offers an extensive French, German, and Belgian beer selection, including three exclusive house brews [custom-made in Louisiana]. The cuisine is unaffectedly Old World, using slow and traditional cooking techniques. The wine list features reds and whites from the Loire, Alsace, and Savoie regions, as well as Badischerwiens of Germany. Since opening in 2007, Lüke has been hailed by Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, and The Times-Picayune Lagniappe, which awarded Lüke an impressive three bean-ranking for its “disarmingly home-spun culinary touches and broad-shouldered dishes that satisfy something more than just an appétit.”

I'm sure dinners are great here but skip breakfast which was bland, commercially cooked (biscuits were inedible) coffee weak and butter -margarine. Yuck. All this for $20.

Best. Happy. Hour. Ever. (Weekdays at 3pm) 75¢ raw oysters/$1.25 fried. Half priced drinks. Not to mention the staff is phenomenal and the setting is refined and can be casual.

Meh. For NOLA, very bland. I should have known better because, hotel restaurants. Menu looks great, but the food isn't. Lackluster service too.

We found nothing special about the food here. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. The waitress seemed like she'd rather be anywhere but here, the sauce for my chicken had been sitting on the heat way too long, so when it came and I tried to pour it, it was too thick and just glopped out in chunks - very unappetizing. It was convenient, because I was staying nearby, but I'd rather walk further down to enjoy a better meal.

Delicious. The soft shell crab blt is to die for, as is the brussels sprouts appetizer. We got the grits on the side, so good. Too much food. But the Sazerac at Scat Lounge in Ft. Worth is better. On the other hand, there are not a lot of places that make a Sazerac.

Luke came as a secondary choice when a touristy place we try to have brunch at had an hour and half wait. You must have reservations most of the time to be seated so I recommend you do that ahead of time. Don't bother with standing around for an open table. Save yourself the trouble. I ordered the shrimp and grits and almost died and went to heaven. I am not a grits fan but this completely changes my mind. It was frustrating and a very very long wait for food but if you've got the time you'll enjoy your experience. Our service was below par for an upscale place. The french fries are also super delicious. This place is of course not known for their fries but I am telling you they are amazing. Great place if you're willing to spend the money.

The salad was one of the best we had in the states. Really good modern kitchen. Quick service, great atmosphere and we didn't have to wait in line to get in
