I just looked at this again.  Setting aside the elected official and paid library employee acting/speaking with gay hate as they did, I notice the skies there looked absolutely beautiful.

That is really interesting. Cool idea.  Thanks for showing.  Personally, I got a kick out of your comments about a law firm that donated one of the benches called Klein, Thorpe & Jenkins that gives awful legal advice to the Orland Park Public Library!  For those who don't know, it's a library that provides and covers up child p0rnography then wins awards for protecting "intellectual freedom." Even Saturday Night Live made a joke about it when Lady Gaga was hosting the show!

Dr Mary Anne Layden is mentioned as an expert. Here's info on her: http://www.med.upenn.edu/cct/faculty_layden.html

Excellent summary of criminal activity by the Orland Park Public Library to allow and cover up child pornography.  And the library director makes more than the Governor of Illinois!!

News video showing a mom telling her town council how the local public library is the only one that will not filter porn from computers in the kids section.

This library board listens to years of complaints about child porn but does nothing of consequence to stop it.  The lawlessness goes on and on, never ending.  The Village itself is also at fault for not stopping the lawlessness.  Yes, libraries are autonomous to act within the law, but when they exceed the law, governments must stop that.  Providing porn in Illinois libraries defies Illinois state law and, in this case, municipal law.

So, no suggestions then? It goes back to why I asked the original question about what it is you want to be done.

Anyone can complain, but complaints alone do not solve problems. Someone has to actually do something effective, and to do that they need effective ideas on a solution.

All of this could be summed up like so:

SL: Libraries are doing nothing to stop porn.
Me: What do you want done?
SL: Filters.
Me: ..and if filters don't work?
SL: I got nothin'.
Me: I have reason to believe they might not work.
SL: Well that's a shame if that's the case, hopefully they'll ask someone besides me for a solution in that scenario.
Me: I guess so.

The porn star book for kids got an award from the American Library Association! http://carolynmackler.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/bannertrio2.png

+SafeLibraries I read the whole book since this video and I will do a separate review for it. I will say I can see she tried to address serious issues but she did it with terrible writing and cheap sells with all the sex talk. There is a way to write about serious issues without pornifying a story. This is not it.

Think about it. Public libraries are a major conduit for porn in America.  That includes child porn where the American Library Association trains librarians not to report child porn since they are not judges and may not determine what is child porn.

"The Gossip Girl books are so awful...."  That's basically what Naomi Wolf said in the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/12/books/review/12wolf.html?pagewanted=all
