Another SHAD finished by Delta Bravo (forum handle). I love his color choices.

From Delta Bravo "The Shad I built last winter. Went out yesterday, wind was 15-20 had a bit of chop but the Shad handled it very well."

I have been playing with a lot of ideas and designs for while now. I have a pretty good line up of boats but there has always been one missing element.
Long Shot and Short Shot are, and I hesitate to use this word, 'fast" boats. That is their rounded shaped hulls have lower resistance and are easier to paddle, but their styling it not everyones cup of tea. For a long time I have thought about how to fix that and I think I have it.
It's not a done deal but I have a strong feeling this is my next design. Greenland like styling combined with a more efficient multi-chinned hull. This image is the first draft but I am excited about this one!

Bcone from out forum shared photos of his newly launched Ravenswood he built for his wife.

"The kayak was built for my wife. We have little to no experience kayaking, so we had a concern about stability. If this was going to be a little bit tippy, even for the first 15 minutes, it would probably be the last time she would paddle it.

Jeff, from the first stroke, my wife paddled the Ravenswood with total confidence. It was stable, and a joy for her to handle and she really scoots without much effort! From the start she was focusing on the Blue Heron's, Mallards, and Lilly Pad flowers. Stability was not even a thought.

On the drive home my wife said she was amazed I could build something that paddles so well, goes so straight, and is so comfortable with so little building experience."

Making plans to attend events next year. So, if you were coming to see us. Which boats would be on your list to see and if possible test paddle? Please answer.

This is so awesome!! A group of elementary students built one of my designs, Matilda, to compete in a Solar Powered Regatta. They won Second place in the race and 1st in Engineering. I am so impressed!

I rarely go in this store but I did the other day. Walking the isles of the Sporting Goods section and I see this. 10', I think, kayak and paddle for $250. Caught me by surprise but I got to thinking. Would you rather have that barge of a boat or spend $300-$325 and a 75 hours of you time and have a REAL kayak? Pretty easy answer I think!
