It is good at a few things and bad at everything else. You should get one.
The race series that employs me, the 24 Hours of LeMons, is now in its busiest part of the year, and that means I don't always have time to drive something suitable for a Race Organizer Review to ...

It was entertaining to watch you getting in, joyful teensy little noise maker that was.

All you can carry for $59.99!
Going to your local wrecking yard on Half Off Everything Sale Day is always fun, but there's an even better (though much rarer) type of junkyard sale: All-You-Can-Carry Day! Twenty years ago, ...

My photos from Pikes Peak.
The 93rd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb took place on Sunday, and we saw broken records, crazy weather, and electric-powered machinery challenging internal-combustion vehicles for ...

No rust. Two-tone. AC. 392 engine. Getting crushed.
One thing about living in Denver is that I see quite a few International Harvester vehicles in the local wrecking yards. Mostly Scouts, of course, but the occasional pickup or Travelall shows up as ...

Why can't all those stupid Hipsters who blow thousands of dollars on vintage Levi's every year, buy stuff like this? No one gives a shit your denim jeans survived the Great Depression!

20 years ago, I tried to drive cross-country to the Trinity Site in a Toyota truck, and got chased off by angry soldiers. This time I was successful in a 4Runner. Cesium-137 gamma rays ahoy!
20 years ago in April, I did a life-changing 28-states-in-22-days road trip in a 1988 Toyota pickup, listening to one of the greatest cassette road-mix tapes ever created and having numerous memorable ...

So patriotic.
I love the wrecking yards in my adopted state of Colorado, but you can’t beat the high-inventory-turnover big chain yards in urban California when it comes to weird Junkyard Finds with enjoyably incomprehensible backstories. Today’s San Jose find, an extremely patriotic 11th-gen Olds 98 sedan, must have a fascinating tale behind it… if only we …

Poor sad abandoned clown car, with its idled off-center wheels and silent PA speakers.
During my recent journey to work at the fifth annual Pacific Northworst 24 Hours of LeMons, held at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington, I spotted an unusual-looking old Toyota Corona in ...

I said it was the Daewoo Lanos.
My very first car was a 1969 Toyota Corona sedan – a beige Corona sedan, which cost 50 bucks at the corner gas station

This is what hell looks like.
Sure, Hyundai makes some nice cars now, but the original Hyundai Excel— just about the only new US-market car in the mid-to-late 1980s that could come close to competing with the Yugo GV on ...

Actually, hell is that peculiar contradiction of physics: heat, no light. Therefore, hell doesn't "look" like anything. It does come with an audio track, tho (but you probably won't want to hear it.)

There's a lot of talking the talk about saving full-sized Detroit wagons, but very little walking the walk. Here's a doomed, solid woodie Town & Country in Los Angeles.
Back in the 1970s, the Ford Country Squire was the default North American full-sized family hauler. I found a fairly solid '72 Squire in a Denver yard last month, and today I'll be sharing some photos ...

What would the 2015 counterparts to the cars in "Two-Lane Blacktop" be?
What are the 2015 equivalents to the full-race 1955 Chevrolet 150 two-door and brand-new 1970 Pontiac GTO that starred in "Two-Lane Blacktop"?

Hellcat (Charger or Challenger, does it really matter) and a Z06 C7 Corvette.

Viper and a 1200hp dual-turbo Supra.

Red Devil Camaro (http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/1969-chevrolet-camaro-red-devil-pro-touring-review though really, any restomod'd '60's muscle car with modern everything and 700+ hp) and a Ferrari 458 Italia.

I'm just dreaming here.
