The Pennsy houses a few gourmet lunch and dinner eats, as well as a bar in the back. Great for groups of people who have varied food preferences; think a meat eater, a vegetarian and vegan who happen to be friends and want to eat and drink. La Frieda is excellent for meat lovers, Mario by Mary has decent baked goods like espresso cookies and the Cinnamon Snail can accommodate vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters alike. Cinnamon Snail definitely reigns supreme. Check them out for donuts too!

Cinnamon Snail is THE shining star of the Pennsy. The food is flavorful, inventive, made with love and tastes amazing! Vegetarians, Vegans and meat eaters will meet here to devour items like Korean inspired seitan wraps and mac and cheese served up on meatless burgers. Don't forget the dessert. It's donut heaven at The Cinnamon Snail! Get the fresh strawberry for a glazed sweet treat.

Surya is The Best Indian restaurant in NYC. The food here at Surya is a fiesta in your mouth, from the samosas to the paneer makhani, to the fluffy and fresh nan and the mango lassi. Everything is made from the finest ingredients as well as expertly prepared. The restaurant has casual cool decor, great for dates and groups. The owner is very friendly and funny as well. Save room for dessert!

Insa is a super cool, trendy but homey kind of place. The bartenders are so friendly and warm, happy to recommend their favorites and really take care of you! The food at Insa is really great as well. They serve whiskey, wine, beer and have private karaoke rooms for large groups. Grab a bunch of friends for food, drinks and karaoke! A+ for the new digs in Park Slope.

Avoid at all costs! The customer service is THE worst I have ever experienced in all of NYC. The two young, black ladies that work here have bad attitudes and are engrossed in their conversations and not doing their job. We went there on 1/9/16 and they were too busy gossiping, rolling eyes, and teeth sucking, not professional. Felt very unappealing to hear them talk about their dating life. Ignored, even when approached. Go to Brooks Brothers, Saks, Bloomingdales, Lord and Taylor, Macy's, anywhere but here!

Strong Rope is your best friend's basement but 100 times better. It's a brewery that doubles as a cozy bar with some great tasting beer. They have sampler beers in 3oz, a 10oz size as well as a pint at 16oz. I really love the low-key vibe. You can stay as long as you want. Bring a bunch of people to relax and have good conversation.

High Street on Hudson is known for their baked goods and just moved to NYC territory to claim their fame. While the baked goods taste good, I feel it is priced higher than usual. The to-go counter is a little cramped and uncomfortable, so it's best to really take it out and eat on the run. The restaurant looks like a cafe space, no-frills and they are still ironing out pretty much everything.
