There are too many business owners seeking to do business on the free. They do not want to pay for anything that would enable their businesses to progress. Some seem to think that business is grown on just talk, but it takes much more.

Speaking with Francis, the owner of Zadelle's in Bridgetown was refreshing. His business is dedicated to the life of his mother, who was a giver.

His intention is for Zadelle's to be a giver within the community; and in particular to the Alzheimer's Association of Barbados.

Is the business there yet, no. However, one thing is certain, it is important to have goals as a driving force behind whatever you're doing.

They on Instagram and Facebook, places where you can be constantly updated on what they're doing and how they're making a difference.

Did I tell you their prices are great! Branded items at reasonable rates allow you to look fantastic without breaking the budget.

They also have an awesome sandwich bar, where they plan to offer the best smoothies and sandwiches in Bridgetown - to locals and visitors alike.

Regardless of the business you're in, it's important to know how it's performing. Here are some considerations:
1. Do you know the numbers pertaining to your business and what they mean?
2. Do you have intelligence from the market place as to how your business is viewed by those you serve?
3. Are you in tune with your business enough to know if it is growing or declining? Do you know what factors are causing either outcome?
4. When was the last time you worked on your business rather than just in it?
