I don't often write on this blog, but I felt compelled to talk about this event. God be with all the victims' families.

Great for tendon pain and strengthening the hand and forearm! If you do a lot of grip training, this is a fantastic exercise to help prevent and remedy the tendon pain that can come with it. This is something you can do after...

The latest episode of Tough Like the Toonz, a la JaxBlade!
In this episode of "Tough Like the Toonz,"  JaxBlade shows us the exercises he would do to get a body like Korra. The key here is not magical exercises, but simple exercises done with consistency and decent form. I don't norm...

Minecraft Workout
Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the entire world. It is low-graphics and doesn't have much in the way of a story line, but it makes up for that by the ability to manipulate the world in nearly an endless fashion and the willingness of its fans...

Vignesh, this workout is for the legs, abs, and general cardio.
Natsu Dragneel is a Dragon Slayer. A Dragon Slayer. Meaning he kills dragons. Well, to be fair, he hasn't actually killed a dragon yet. He was just taught Dragon Slaying Magic from his Dragon foster father, Igneel. He has a m...

Rock Lee: The Self-Imposed Rule
Rock Lee pushes himself to new levels of intensity with the concept of the "self-imposed rule."  The idea is this: if you are unable to complete a certain exercise or challenge as intended, you then force yourself to complete another exercise, not as punish...

+Ava Pelillo , I should think so!  Definitely, if you are going to start with this workout, scale it back.  Do a quarter of the reps on everything and walk for 30 minutes to start and then slowly build from there.
For the record, this workout is NOT in the anime or the manga, per se. However, it is on the front page of Chapter 10 of the manga. The workout is hanging on the wall, behind Naruto's right shoulder. It's simple, straightforw...

I have attended a couple of basic Karate classes and a Kickboxing class and was pleased with the content and intensity of the class. The basic class was set up in such a fashion as to be match the level of the participant and the Kickboxing class was very concerned with the safety of those involved, which I was happy to see. Many classes I've attended would just throw people into hard sparring without any preparation or without proper gear. That was not the case here, as those without proper gear still received training, but catered to what they were able to do. For instance, I did not have headgear or shin guards with me, so I was limited to punching and only receiving hits to the body. The instructors I have had contact with seem to be well-trained and proficient at teaching and, in general, seem excited to be teaching and martial arts as a whole. I intend to train here a great deal more in the future. If you're in the area of Greenville or Spartanburg, SC, I'd recommend you give it a try!
