I am a member. This is the most depressing VFW I have ever seen.

I really like that there is a NY pizza by the slice place like this back in the down towns area. I am a pizza snob from Chicago. I enjoy all the different pizza styles and NY is high on the list. This place does it right. The crust has the yeasty aroma only fresh dough can offer. And the toppings are fresh and fairly placed. I like to grab a slice at lunch and hangout by my truck. Parking is easy at lunch time in this area. It is placed near bars too, so it is a great late night stop too.

My association, for which I am the president of, has been under the management of CPM for years, prior to CPM holding the contract it was held by the same manager who, at the time, had her own company. When her business failed, she went all over Saint Louis trying to sell her book of business to other community managerment companies. CPM was the only one who would bite. I became the board president because our association has been greatly mismanaged by CPM and my neighbors begged me to do something about it. We have major problems with delinquencies and CPM is not only unfamiliar with the laws and techniques in Illinois to help Associations combat this problem, they are combative when the board tries to utilize things CPM is unfamiliar with. They were not aware of the Illinois Common Interest Community Association Act, or the ability for associations to evict delinquent owners with a forcible entry and detainer action. These are well known actions to other Illinois managers. But we needed to introduce CPM to them despite the Illinois certifications their manager holds. With the exception of the assistant manager we have, we have a lot of service issues from the CPM. Calls and emails often go unreturned. When homeowners bring it up, the manager and VP often give a lot of attitude to the homeowner about it. They are quite brash, particularly the manager. They never take any responsibility for any of their mistakes. It is always blamed on sub contractors. If you reach out to the contractors directly, they will tell tell a VERY different story than what CPM tells you. Our billing has been erratic. We have paid bills in 2016 that are from way back in the middle and earlier part of 2015 with no real explanation of why. I have been working hard to get a new manager but CPM has a sweetheart deal with the builder and they still maintain control over most of the board at this time. When I bought my town home, it was the biggest investment I had ever made. I wanted to protect my investment and make sure that the assessments I sent off every month would be spend and invested in a responsible way. CPM offers very little expertise to board members, who often don't know much about running an organization like this. I would suggest going elsewhere for your community management needs. I am working hard to get a new company in to manage our association. While this is a thankless industry, the service and expertise provided by CPM is not worth the high cost.

Great place to have some awesome custard and watch everyone cruise by. The desserts are all great and they even give a puppy cone. Be ready to sit outsie or in your car. There is a drive thru also.

Excellent school for little ones. My daughter was in a similarly priced school that we were not pleased with. Upon the first day of her transition we could see that we made the right choice. The employees are attentive and caring. She was a little nervous at first but her teachers quickly showed her and our family that the Goddard School is a loving environment. My daughter is happier than before, she is learning interesting things, she has cool visitors and events, and she is excited for drop off each morning. We are all excited for her to show me the school at our upcoming school BBQ. Her teachers are interesting, thought provoking individuals who I appreciate. The school costs a couple bucks more than some others in the area. But the ROI is worth it. So glad we switched.
