I am married with three grown daughters. The oldest lives in Singapore as a teacher. She is married to Owen. They have two sons, Caiden and Carter who are the best grandsons in the whole world. The middle daughter is a MD specializing in anesthesiology and working for Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. The youngest has a BA from the University of Tennessee and works on private yachts. My wife is an Infection Preventionist at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital in Norfolk, VA.

Those who are trying to adjust themselves to the morality of the world are riding on a roller coaster. People are afraid of offending just about everyone but the Christians. New words are used to describe sinfulness. New justifications are made for it. It i...

Can a Faithless Society Produce Virtue?
Let me define virtue before I actually start this blog. Virtue is simply moral excellence. A truly virtuous person has a moral quality that is consistent even if no one is looking. I'll admit that people who claim faith do not have much over on those who cl...

Most preachers notice when members of the congregation are bored. Their eyes are open but there are no lights on. They may actually be looking straight at you and not see a thing. There are others who are hanging onto every word. Their faces are animated. T...

he reclined at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners were
reclining with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16  And the scribes of the Pharisees, when
