We were greeted by the owner a very warm charming Italian man, we ordered food to go one dish was $14 the other $16 the decor is outdated but the food is yummy the owner chatted with us describing how everything is made from scratch his love for his restaurant and food was heart warming. Defiantly recommend this place although it's decor is a little tacky the food is authentic and tasts great :)

Not sure how others rate this place so high. The food is definitely overpriced. My $20 dish doesn't taste what a $20 dish should be. The ingredients seem more like from the frozen and/or canned, without any fresh taste in it. We couldn't find the waiter when we needed him a couple times. He was on a smoke break. The manager is nice, though. The bread is good.

I've passed by this place all the time, and decided to take a date there for her birthday. We both loved it, secluded, sophisticated and the staff is like no other. We enjoyed our wine and food and will go back for sure. I gave my compliments to the owner and we both ended up getting a free glass of wine.

Conflicting atmosphere of italian opera and christmas music, tacky vines painted on the ceiling, and crappy torn pink seats. But the menu was priced like it was a 4 star or better restaurant but the ingredients were clearly sub par. Fresh frozen would be the best way to describe them, however the sauce on the canneloni was good, but a bit salty.

I love the Alamo Heights Milano. We have been dining there for years; we love the food and the wait staff. The manager always opens the door and thanks us for dining. They also have a great wine list with reasonable prices.

I have been eating at this restaurant for over 5 years. Never disappointed. The smoked lasagna is some of the best I have eaten. The sausage cacciatore is wonderful. The waitstaff is effecient. My wife who loves Olive Garden, or some of the other Italian chains, now prefers Cafe Milano.
