The tragedy in France has left me speechless but we cannot give into these horrific acts by remaining silent because that's what these barbarians want. Religion of 'peace' my ass!
Salman Rushdie, whose book "The Satanic Verses" prompted Iran's Ayatollah to issue a fatwa on him in 1989, responded to Wednesday's shooting attack at the Paris offices of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. Read his statement.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection  -

Hey everyone, I'm ecstatic for the Master Chief Collection in November, and the thing I'm most excited for is to play on all the great Halo maps. So I wanted to have a fun post and see what are your  TOP 3 most anticipated maps to play again?

Kharma is the best. Great inclusion. I went crazy when her music hit!

I want to get me one of these!

"Innovative Transparent Bubble Tents"

Wow, I would love to try one of these Bubble Tents (created by French designer Pierre-Stéphane Dumas) whenever I go camping! Imagine sleeping in complete darkness, avoiding all the pesky critters from outside, but still being able to stare at the night sky without any worries?

The U.K. has prohibited all schools that receive public funding from teaching creationism.

What an accurate description of today's "bully." Big on the outside so they think they can look down on others, when they're actually very little on the inside.

Port Orchard
Story
Introduction

I moved to Cascadia (Seattle area) from Dixie (Florida) with my family in December 2013; the day after my last college class. My wife, daughter and I drove 3000 miles across the county to our new home. The only certainty was that we were together. No family or job awaited us in Washington. We took a "leap of faith" that the grass was greener on the other side.......and it is.

Bragging rights
I get the honor of raising the most loving, beautiful, caring, intelligent, free-thinking little girl in the world. I'm very grateful.

Overall it is a great hotel. The staff was friendly and held onto our bags until our room was ready (they lock it up in a room). The rooms are clean and for $67 (Nov. 2012) they were perfect. Also, the rooftop is awesome! Great views of the city. The hotel is in a great location. It is in walking distance to the Seattle Center and you can take the monorail into the city.

Piesanos is easily one of the best pizza joints in Gainesville. Both locations always have great service and the food is always excellent.

Gator's Dockside has great wings and I enjoy the food. Unfortunately, if you go in thinking you can get someone to change the channel to watch something else, (even if it's sports related) you're wrong. I went in one Saturday night to watch a soccer match. It was extremely slow there and only a few people eating. I sat down and asked if they could change the channel to NBC and they refused! All I wanted was to use 1 of their 176 TV's and they refused. It was very disappointing.
